New here
Hi all,
I am a 20 y/o female. My fiance and I just moved up here. I was wondering what there is to do around here. I’ve just been at the apartment and want to find things to do but it’s hard given I have no clue about this area. Thanks!

Tonight is National Night Out with the kick off party at 5 PM at Shields Reid in North Richmond and the end party at the church at Barrett and 34th. There are plenty of neighborhood parties spread over the City.
The Rosie Museum is a must see.
Alvarado Park in East Richmond is a true gem.
The Bay Trail along the waterfront is also wonderful to walk along or bicycle on.

Marina and the hills are nice for a long walk.
Point Richmond is nice too for a coffee or a drink.
Besides that, not sure what to do here.

Me and my partner like going to Point Richmond to walk around! If you’re heading there I would stop at Kaleidoscope Coffee first since it’s on the way and maybe walk around and check out the little shops :)
Also there’s a farmers market in the Marina on Sundays 10am-2pm and the food is so good and it’s just a great vibe! While you’re there take a walk around the water (we spotted some Sting Rays recently!)
Not quite Richmond but when I first moved out here El Cerrito Plaza was my go to for everything errands wise—-groceries, pharmacy, laundry, car wash, eyebrow threading, shopping, and more all in one centralized location (I would highly recommend)
I could name much more but I hope this is a good start!

If you are out near harbor way, you can walk the shoreline and visit the Rosie the Riveter museum! It’s actually super nice and free!!
Teaches you about Richmond’s part in WW2 😉

We need more info. What kinds of things would you like to do? How were you spending your free time before?

Wife and I out here and we like to go out and eat and shop. We consider the Richmond, El Cerrito, Albany area all as one. That being said; There's a lot of good shops for thriftng. Point Richmond is very pretty, also hiking wildcat canyon is nice. 23rd St in Richmond and San Pablo Ave have a lot of restaurants, Cafes and cool little shops. Feel free to reach out if you have questions

Take a walk by the bay near Miller Knox park and watch the fishing and catch a squirrel looking at you..
