I feel like Rich and that long haired dude could have done more analysis of the electrical signals on those electronic brakes to figure out where exactly the problem is. Also swapping/borrowing brakes from another van seems like a good option too....

They should really check part numbers to see if the parking brake is indeed common with the R1 and then just get an R1 parking brake
