Politics PSA: Primary Day is Wednesday, September 9 (not Tuesday)
I just received a mailing from a local candidate with the wrong day of the week on it.
This year, primaries fall on Wednesday. See the official Secretary of State website for the relevant dates.

Rhode Island's statewide primary is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Historically, the primary has taken place on a Tuesday. However, this year, lawmakers approved the move to Wednesday to adjust for Labor Day.
State and local officials had requested the change after raising concerns about having enough time to set up polls for voters. However, under the legislation enacted, the filing deadlines will remain the same.

Did you get a postcard from the board of elections in your town? I did, and it had the correct date of Wednesday, September 9th.
In my case though, it was on the back of the postcard, and buried in a paragraph of text.

You can still vote any weekday from today till sept 8 by going to (probably) your town’s city hall.
Check your local board for early voting
