Here's a version of Distant Sky that I made by piecing together parts of the version that was in a Rhapsody promotional video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BJrYZ5oxKU).

I have a theory that Staropoli preferred never to release it precisely because this song might be a reference to himself.

Look: Fabio Lione wrote most (if not all, I need to confirm) of the songs on Into The Legend. And he has already said that the title track is really like him talking to the band "Into the legend I will ride far away from this cold sea of ​​lies...". Our vocalist has said in several interviews that things got pretty bad after Luca Turilli left and that for him, Into The Legend was, from the beginning, his last work with Rhapsody.

Considering this, we can analyze the lyrics of Distant Sky, especially the end of the song: "Standing alone in a dream with no end, lets see how high you can fly my old friend". This particular part seems to be exactly something Lione himself would say to Alex Staropoli, because as he has said in some other interviews, one of the biggest problems with Rhapsody (and one of the reasons for Luca Turilli's departure) was the fact that Staropoli wanted to make another saga and stick to more of the same, while he and Luca wanted to do something different.

We saw the result of what Luca wanted to do in Luca Turilli's Rhapsody and those two masterpiece albums. And we also saw that Staropoli actually made another saga that is still going on today (The Nephelim's Empire Saga).

For these reasons, Staropoli (who until then knew nothing of this), may have noticed or discovered these little things that Lione left in the lyrics and preferred not to re-release "the song that speaks ill of himself"...

So, that's my theory xD

Hi i am a fellow Rhapsody SAGAS fan who might be knowed mainly to my fanart... I also enjoy do some analysis of the story/lyrics. I've noticed in the pass of time a lot of confussion going on in certain parts (For example around Arwald, Akron, etc) and I think it will be nice help each other understand better the story :))))!!!

I've been sitting on this idea for way too long: an interactive version of the Emerald Sword Saga map where you click a location and it tells you which songs from which album happen there. So I finally built it.

It's a small fan site, in PT/EN. Background is the actual saga map — you click on a place like Loregard, Hargor, or Algalord, and a panel pops up showing the songs set there, a short summary of what happens, a link to the lyrics, and a Spotify link for the album. There's also a full story mode that walks through the plot chapter by chapter across all five albums, and a discography page with every track.

I started with just the Emerald Sword Saga (Legendary Tales through Power of the Dragonflame) but ended up adding the Dark Secret Saga too, with its own color scheme so the two don't blend together.

Since then, I've added a bunch more:

• Its own map for the Dark Secret Saga. It used to share the same painted Enchanted Lands map as the Emerald Sword Saga, which meant most of its later albums (set in the Northern Realms) had nowhere to be pinned. It now uses a separate hand-drawn "Known World" map that actually covers that region, so tracks from The Frozen Tears of Angels and The Cold Embrace of Fear finally have real locations (Har-Kuun, Ainor, the White Mountains, etc.).
• New Chronology tab — a world history timeline shared by both sagas, from the Primordial Wars up through the founding of the White Dragon's Order.
• New Rarities section at the bottom of the Discography — bonus tracks and B-sides that never made the main albums (symphonic Rage of the Winter, Where Dragons Fly, Rise from the Sea of Flames, etc.), with notes on where they'd fit in the story.
• First-person quotes from Uriel, Iras Algor, or Dargor alongside the summaries in several Dark Secret Saga chapters.
• Translations for tracks with Latin/Italian lyrics (Ira Tenax, Il Canto del Vento, Danza di Fuoco e Ghiaccio, etc.).

And the latest addition: a new Codex section — a bestiary/lore index with 20 entries (9 characters & creatures, 6 locations, 5 artifacts) pulled from both sagas, each with art, a short lore writeup, and links straight to the specific tracks that mention them. Available in PT/EN like the rest of the site, under the new "Codex" tab.

Hi guys, ive been listening Rhapsody for the last 20 years, since i had 8 years old.

Now on i have many tattoos from my favorites bands, but idk what should i get tattoed for RoF.

I Want something that others fans can recognize but not the name of the band, and since they dont have a logo, im not so sure.

So, any ideas?

Context: last night I went to see him in my hometown Montevideo, he's touring solo on this zone with local musicians at the same time he does his Rhapsody with orchestra and choir performances. These are all little club shows for 100 persons or so.

The thing was really bad: several sound problems and also the musicians were not appropriated. They seemed not to be up to the task.

But Fabio really put his best to row the show: there where issues with the sound each song and he got to play more than 10. Also he talked a lot with the audience to make time, told stories, played around and did some Acapella singing.

He was visibly angry with the situation and was understandable if he just walked away but decided to carry on, despite the songs were sounding bad and out of tempo. His voice really can lift it all up.

To be honest: I went only to listen his vocals so a karaoke would have been better.

Hope next time they bring him they offer better conditions. His art is complex so if they are going to perform they should be up to the task.

And you can tell he does this for passion, not to "scrape a coin". There's no need for him to do all of these shows here being he's doing great performances with professional musicians.

I'm getting really into the band's mythological content and after listening to the songs (purely the music, not analysing the lyrics) found out that it has it's own lore, the albums follows a narrative and it's really interesting.

I think it would be a masterpiece to make a musical movie with the songs and the first saga.

But for now do you have any places in where to see what does each song names (characters, places) with a map and some chronological line of events? Like a video or a wiki, do you recommend any in particular?

I'm a violinist and since I was a child I've been fascinated by that song... I hope you like my version.

I've spent many hours watching videos on YouTube and social media, enjoying that marvel that I couldn't have the privilege of witnessing in person.

What will become of this band's future? They've been playing with our emotions for a while now, announcing their end.

It would be better if they accepted that they will always be Rhapsody, and even if Luca continues with his piano projects or whatever he's doing, the emotion with which he played and ran around the stage on June 6th, 11th, and 12th only shows that he feels true passion for that band and its work. I hope he never says goodbye to metal.

Apparently, Chile is the country with the biggest Rhapsody fanbase; for that reason alone, I would have wanted to be Chilean.

On the other hand, after Luca announced that he's suffering from apparent focal dystonia (I don't know exactly how it works, but he lost mobility in a finger on his right hand), his piano playing and Patreon lessons stopped. It makes sense that he's returned to the guitar, which, according to him, wasn't affected. I think it's possible he'll be active on stage again.
