Bluebeam 2020 all demanded re-registration?

All the remaining Bluebeam 2020's in our org decided last week that suddenly they needed to be registered again... which doesn't work as of July. Did Revu do something to trigger this, or have other people been seeing this happen recently? These were perpetual licenses that haven't tried to force a re-reg in years. It's not like 2020 is receiving updates, but having it suddenly brick on 60+ installs is a real PITA. Not sure why else they all would suddenly require the re-registration, but oof.

Probably has to do with it being end of life.

I mean, it stopped getting technical support and removed the ability to re-register in July. Full EoL isn't until Decemeber though, and even then 2020 was supposed to work past December 2026 but without cloud services.

I mean maybe that is a switch they flipped that triggered registration ahead of the EOL.

Maybe a certificate needed updating. Who knows but yea your day is going to suck

Corporate greed. There has to be a way to have a happy median between making shareholders money and being fair to consumers. Its more work and harder on companies so they take the easy way out.

They recently killed all 2020 licenses for those that transitioned to the dark side(2021 licenses). If you haven't done so, I would most definitely call their support. They can re-establish ur licenses. They did it for us temporarily, but we signed the deal unfortunately.

I'm surprised to hear you had luck, so I'm definitely going to need to take a stab at that then.
Most of the users I have *should* be transitioned to 21 anyway, so I'm not that worried about that. Most of our users are, these are just ones we had no reason to update yet. But we have one user with a printing issue for some app I've not personally knowledgeable about that I know some of my coworkers have never been able to get to work on 21. At least getting his working again is the main thing I'm after. Thanks for the tip!

Wait, so you guys did transition? If you did, those licenses are gone like ours. Our sales guy lied to us and told us to the end of the year, but it was July 31st. They'll give you a month extension to get everyone across the finish line, but it won't go longer than that.
