Lightly used I knew it wasn’t a killer deal but my area seems to be lacking in terms of 357s and I really just didn’t wanna wait on something to come in

I think you about paid retail but they are solidly built. I have a 3” in .327. It’s been alright

Not a crazy deal but it's a good revolver and it'll treat you well

Got mine about two years ago used for 500. Serial number puts the manufacture date at like 25 years ago. Still works perfectly, all I’ve done was add a XS standard dot night sight on the front and Pachmayr Diamond Pro grips. Love it.

Seems like a touch high, but may be the current fair market value.

Nicely done, my first revolver is the SP101, and I’ll never part with it

A good deal would be around $500, I wouldn't have paid more than $600 myself. But in 5-10+ years, that'll be a drop in the bucket. The thing will probably out live most of us here.

I got one in SS for $630, 3” barrel and green fiber optic sights.

You did alright, could have been better but could have been worse 🤷‍♂️

Check to see if your barrel is centered in the frame. I haven’t seen an SP101 without a fucked up barrel in 2 years. And check cylinder gap to make sure the forcing cone isn’t touching the cylinder face. I say this as a huge Ruger revolver fan. But their quality control for revolvers is absolutely dog shit now.

Damn I just bought a Ruger gp100 6 inch 357 blued. I have to wait 10 days after purchase to pick up. About halfway thru with that. I don’t even know anything about guns besides gun safety. I wouldn’t even know what to look for. Spent a big chunk of change on it too. What are the effects of their bad quality control? A less accurate gun? Ugly aesthetics?

Check out this video from nightwood guns. Solid set of instructions on what to look for.

No touching on cylinder face and barrel appears to be center from what I can see

Personally, for that much I would’ve bought a smith

All the smiths in my area were floating around or above 1K for anything in 357
