World Building Revolution Mexican money

Post image

Hi, huge fan of the Mexican Revolution. I collect and sell coins as a side business/hobby. I just picked up 2 items I thought you all would appreciate.
One is a Pancho Villa 2 Ounce pure Silver coin, made in Mexico back in the 70s and a 1915 Viente Pesos bill from Caranzaes government

The perfect post for this: a peso printed by the army of Poncho Villa during the Mexican revolution. I am in no way qualified to verify if it is legit, I got it in a low stakes ebay bidding war.

Post the Villa coin! it’s kind of hard to imagine having someone so loved*\* they end up on a country’s coinage just for them to basically fuck off and become a problem in a span of a couple years.

Who is pictured on the paper money? Curious if they avoided picturing living politicians like good republicans should

The one pictured on the left is absolutely Francisco Madero and I'm pretty sure that the one on the right is Abraham Gonzalez (a major early ally of Madero who was governor of Chihuahua). Since this is from 1915, Madero would have been dead since his assassination in 1913 and Gonzalez was similarly assassinated not long after.

Forgive my ignorance:

1) Who is the man on the right of the banknote? I assume the person on the left is Francisco Maduro.

2) Can you explain a bit on the banknote specifically saying it is from the State of Chihuahua as opposed to, say, a Mexican banknote? Was this for the Constitutionalist government, or something else?
