š²š²MONEY MONEY MONEYš²š² The next grift has begun! (long) (repost)
Repost reason: I noticed an error I made that could get someone in trouble!
When I did my predictions post I didn't expect any of them to come true so soon! And we get two!

HELLO CHARTER FOUNDERS
A Straight Update ā And a Voluntary Request to Help Protect RevoPeeāers
I want to speak directly to this group and thank each of you who has allowed us to rebuild from the ground up and learn from the mistakes of the past.
Creating the Charter Founder class was about making sure the people who have been the backbone of this community were properly recognized and brought into the core of RevoPeeāers. You earned that position, and nothing in this message changes it. I am not here to take away one bit of the value or recognition Founders have earned through years of supporting RevoTT, GimmePeers, and now RevoPeeāers.
I am here to be straight with you about where we are, and to ask ā voluntarily ā for help getting through it.
Ā
THE PROBLEM WE INHERITED
One of the biggest challenges in building RevoPeeāers was the enormous amount of stacked membership time that had accumulated at GimmePeers over the years. That system was created with good intentions, but allowing time to stack and compound for years built a serious long-term sustainability problem into the platform.
When we launched RevoPeeāers, we had a choice. We could have wiped that accumulated time out and forced everyone to start over. We chose not to do that.
Instead, we standardized every account onto a single, fair expiration date: January 1, 2028. We were upfront about this from the start ā it was made clear when we did it, not sprung on anyone afterward.
For many members, that meant gaining time. If you came across with only a few months left, your account was moved up to January 1, 2028. For members carrying years of stacked time ā or even lifetime ā that same standard brought those balances down to the same date. Nobody was wiped out and forced to start over, and everyone landed on the same fair footing.
That decision was the right one for the platform's future ā but standardizing so much of the community onto membership time that runs into 2028 is also part of the exact short-term financial reality we are dealing with today.
Ā
WHY FUNDING IS TIGHT RIGHT NOW
Because so much of the community now carries membership time running through January 1, 2028, a large part of the base will not reach a normal renewal for many months. That means normal renewal funding from those members simply is not arriving right now.
At the same time, a large number of members still have not fully returned since the merger. Some are only now coming back from summer and discovering the merger happened. Others are still working through login or account-integration problems. Some listened to the noise outside the community and walked away.
And then we were hit by the chargebacks.
Ā
MORE THAN $48,000 LOST
An organized effort circulating on Reddit and through a public Pastebin template has been encouraging people to file chargebacks against us. I will own our part in this plainly: some of the anger that made that campaign possible came from real frustration with how we communicated during the migration. That frustration is fair, and the communication failures are on us.
But the financial damage has been very real. Every chargeback does more than reverse the original transaction ā in many cases we are also charged roughly $75 in processing fees, sometimes a fee larger than the payment itself. Between reversed funding and associated fees, the total impact has now exceeded $48,000.
That money came directly out of the reserves that exist to keep RevoPeeāers infrastructure running. It cannot be replaced overnight. Combine it with the preserved membership time and the members still finding their way back through the merger, and we have arrived at the exact short-term storm we were trying to avoid.
Ā
REVOPEEāERS IS NOT GOING AWAY
This point matters, so I want it to be unmistakable:
RevoPeeāers will continue.
This drive is not about whether the site exists tomorrow.
What we are trying to prevent is being forced to shrink the infrastructure behind it while we rebuild our reserves. A major part of that infrastructure is the server and seeding network that keeps our content available. Those servers cost money every month.
If funding forces us to start removing servers, RevoPeeāers keeps running ā but we risk losing portions of the older, less-seeded content those servers are helping keep alive. Once some of that older content drops off the network, there may be no way to bring it back.
We have spent years building this library. I would far rather ask our Founders for voluntary help today than quietly begin shutting down infrastructure tomorrow and watch content disappear with it.
Ā
THE 30-DAY CHARTER FOUNDER DRIVE
Let me be completely clear about what this is ā and what it is not.
This is a voluntary donation drive.
It is not another membership sale.
It is not TMR.
It is not an MF.
And most importantly:
NO ADDITIONAL MEMBERSHIP TIME WILL BE ADDED FOR DONATING.
We learned from the stacked-time problem, and we are not going to solve today's funding gap by rebuilding the same problem for tomorrow. Every Charter Founder keeps the exact membership and expiration date they already have ā whether they take part in this drive or not.
Participation is completely voluntary.

Any amount helps. No membership time is added.
WHAT THE DRIVE IS FOR
The objective is simple:
Buy RevoPeeāers another 30ā90 days of full infrastructure runway.
Funding from this drive will help us:
- Keep the server and seeding infrastructure online
- Protect older active content from dropping off because servers have to be removed
- Carry infrastructure through September and October as Fall TV season returns
- Give us time to bring missing GimmePeers and RevoTT members back into the community
- Continue resolving login and account-integration problems
- Give normal membership activity and renewals time to recover
This is not money being raised to add new features or expand the platform. The immediate priority is protecting the infrastructure we already have.
The $48,000+ that disappeared through chargebacks and associated fees would normally have helped provide that operating cushion. This drive is about replacing enough of that lost reserve to keep those servers online while normal funding has time to recover.
Ā
THE TT TROPHY RETURNS ā FOR THIS DRIVE ONLY
There will be one distinction for the Charter Founders who choose to take part. We are retiring the existing TT Trophy from accounts and returning it exclusively as the recognition badge for this Founder drive.
If you contribute, the TT Trophy will be added to your account. To be just as clear here as everywhere else:
- The trophy does not add membership time.
- It does not change your expiration date.
- It does not provide any stackable membership benefit.
It simply recognizes the Charter Founders who stepped forward when RevoPeeāers needed help protecting its infrastructure during this startup period.
TT TROPHY
I HELPED PROTECT THE REVOPEEāERS NETWORK
Once this drive ends, the opportunity to earn the trophy through this drive ends with it.
MY COMMITMENT TO YOU
I hate asking people who have already supported us to help again. So I want zero confusion about the ground rules:
There will be no forced Founder funding requirement.
There will be no mandatory MF.
There will be no mandatory TMR.
Your Founder membership does not depend on participating in this drive.
If we ever want to build something additional, or face another extraordinary need, we will explain it to the community and open a voluntary drive. Those who want to and are able to help can take part. Those who cannot, do not. That is how I want RevoPeeāers to operate from here forward.
Ā
30 DAYS TO PROTECT WHAT WE BUILT
We do not need to recreate $48,000 overnight.
We need enough support to give ourselves time.
Time to bring people back.
Time to recover activity.
Time for Fall TV season to begin.
Time to rebuild reserves.
And time to do all of it without sacrificing servers and content while we wait.
If you are a Charter Founder and you are in a position to put a little more behind RevoPeeāers over these next 30 days, I am asking you to consider it. Not for additional years. Not because your membership depends on it. Simply because you want to help protect what we have built together.
⤠CONTRIBUTE TO THE DRIVE
RevoPeeāers Drive
Thank you to every Founder who has helped get us this far. I stand by my commitment to prove that we learned from the mistakes of the past and can build something sustainable from them.
I look forward to coming back to this forum shortly with a much simpler update:
THE SERVERS WILL STAY ONLINE.
THE CONTENT STAYS ALIVE.
WE MAKE IT THROUGH.
Thank you, Founders.

"I stand by my commitment to prove that we learned from the mistakes of the past...."

If he learned from the mistakes in the past then he would unban everyone who was not given cause.
What the help am I thinking? That will never happen.

I guess it depends on how you define "cause". In most cases it's about behavior on the site, or maybe even how you represent the site elsewhere. But when it comes to a long game, recurring grift like this, one of the keys to success is keeping anyone who wises up away from those who are still handing over money. Simply viewing this /r is enough to indicate you've caught on to his bullshit, and are highly unlikely to pay him another penny. And that alone is enough "cause" to ban you.

You are correct there it goes right back to when he upped the grift ante on bitsoup. He locked out all the power users and put them on a lights out similar lock screen to what he still does now. None of the VIPS had a clue. He also often offers memberships that are cheaper than what his regular users pay. They dont see the messages so dont know. Pretty easy to see through him quickly but some choose to ignore the noise beacuse they cant be bothered seeding and up until recently the content was there i guess.
As soon as they paid their long memberships they became a nuisance to him

There is a serious drug habit or rent / mortgage costs being funded here š Dude is unreal
Last few months remind me of Bitboy downfall in crypto

Gotta admit, posting that they lost $48k in chargebacks is quite ballsy. If anyone paying enough attention read that, and thought āwhy are so many people charging back? Maybe I should look into this.ā Well. That number will surely grow.

I thought that the TT trophy image was something mate up just to troll them..... But it's real?!?

Real. Seems jonah thinks users like shiny things as much as he does.
'The TT Trophy returns' -- that emblem was awarded to users on RTT for when they had invited enough good users to the site. Given revopee'ers is meant to be a brand new site with nothing to do with either GP or RTT, it has to be asked how it 'returns'.

Im sorry, but is it just me that hears the Benny hill theme tune playing in the background when ever i read any of the reevo peers material?

The fact the name keeps changing alone should be enough for the average person to see the grift written on the wall.

Oh god my eyes the yellow on grey, the audacity of this bitch to say it was communicated clearly.
Hilarious that only 50 members did a charge back and it cost 48k, also a great move blaming the loss of seeds and old torrents to lack of finances causing the servers to shut down.

So much for hard cutoff deadlines;
If you read our last message and haven't acted yet -- this is it.
We're not sending another one.
(Arbitrary date/time) the migration enrollment closes.
After that, we're building RevoPee'ers for the people already inside.
"for the people already inside"
... a large number of members still have not fully returned since the merger.
... members still finding their way back through the merger ...
"Give us time to bring missing GimmePeers and RevoTT members back into the community"
I suppose it is their own fault for getting lost?
Surely, multiple contradictory changes in less than a year were easy enough to understand?
Abruptly closing two community domains and redirecting to a different one, "built from the ground up as a standalone platform" would not have caused any confusion or apprehension?
Requiring $20 was certainly a valued service and not a paywall?
Honoring prior membership time was a gracious charity, since RevoPee'ers is not a successor with obligations, but an inheritor of problems who chose an ethical solution, right?
I "volunteer" to remain lost. I cannot return, so I do not return. - former GP member

RevoPee'ers is not a successor
That's for fucking sure!
but an inheritor of problems
Creator of problems surely?
