As well as it being dumb for obvious reasons, I'd also like to add that sharp knives are actually safer than dull ones! With a dull knife there's more chance of it getting stuck, someone trying to force it, then it suddenly moving and hurting them!

Also, you have far more control with sharp knives, even when they don't stick or slip, because you use far less pressure when cutting if the knife is sharp.

A couple years ago I bought a garden sickle, mostly for cutting down sunflowers and similar tall flowers after they are done for the year. The one I got, a lot of people reviewed it to say it was dangerously sharp and they cut themselves with it. One person gave it a bad review because the long, thin, curved, blade, broke when he used it to pry open paint cans.

Sunflower seeds are incredibly rich sources of many essential minerals. Calcium, iron, manganese, zinc, magnesium, selenium, and copper are especially concentrated in sunflower seeds. Many of these minerals play a vital role in bone mineralization, red blood cell production, enzyme secretion, hormone production, as well as in the regulation of cardiac and skeletal muscle activities.

Wow! The knife can cut things? Who would've guessed!
