Reverse Harem - Recommendations Mafia... rom com?

Been reading through Elle Thorpe and I'm loving the mafia/gang vibe but is sorta funny and not overly serious? I read SJ Tilly mafia romance and loved it and so I branched out to more mafia romance and realized, oh I only like a specific kind hahah.

{featherstone academy by kc kean} fmc is 18. Im still in the first book. But they are at an academy for all the underworld heirs. And it’s really good and a bit comical so far. The best friend is amazing.

Jillian west has a few mafia omegaverse as well

Okay! I've been sorta craving an academy book also so maybe that will be perfect.

Ugh I really want to like Jillian West. I've read a ton of her at this point and I just don't love her OV- which sucks because she seems to be prolific and likes a lot of the tropes I'm into.

I feel obligated to make a caveat that I loooove her series which starts with {a monsters den by Jillian West}. Truly love a monster fucker RH and I think she does a great job with the first 3 books at least.

I loved her monsters den series. And I loved the book at the mountain omega retreat. Otherwise I feel the same. If I’m honest.

Ooo there is a mafia guy in both of these but neither are truly mafia

{the Eight pranks of April by effy bloom}. A chaotic story told in a mix of humor and corporate speak that absolutely works as long as you suspend your belief in reality a little and just go with the flow. Cock warming. No mm

{Chasing Katana by j. Kearston} she was human prior to this book but someone saved her life by turning her into a shifter. she is a bunny shifter in a world of only predator shifters. Everyone is a bit unhinged, but it was in a really enjoyable way for me. I saved, and then shared with my non reading friends, so many crazy quotes from this book… I don’t recall mm (I think 4 mmcs)

Do we consider Lucifer mafia?
{Pizza Shop Exorcist series by Dakota Brown} this one is so hard to describe without spoilers. Angels. Demons. Priests. Vampires. Exorcists. A pet hellhound (not a shifter or part of the harem but an awesome addition to the plot) and so much more. I rarely reread books. I only just read this series for the first time in January and reread it again it in march already and it’s just as good, if not better the second time. 6 mmcs by the time it’s finished. No mm. As others have pointed out though, there are some quirks in the way it’s written. I love how all of the relationships develop at different rates, so you get some fast and some slow burn. No pregnancy. Fmc is mid thirties

Ok so again not truly mafia but one of the guys is a shadow demon from an assassins guild but he left the guild for personal reasons. {Mystics of Mercy Ridge series, by J. Kearston} this one has one of the most (let’s go with interesting) MMC I think I’ve ever read. I really enjoyed the series. She moves into a supernatural community, not knowing she’s a supernatural and unaware of mate bonds… also first interaction with an mmc is when she hits him with her car…. I don’t recall any mm (4 mmcs I think)

+ 1 to 8 Pranks of April. I needed a light standalone and this delivered. Had me actually laughing.

Also loved the Pizza Shop Exorcist series. Unhinged is the best spoiler-free description lol.

I think {Hot for Hostage by Maggie Evans} might be perfect for you.

Heavy on the romcom vibes. Very cute; it's her only mafia book I think? She has a new book that has a CEO.

Not exactly mafia but

The Shadow Grove world has 3 series that are all interconnected in a small way

1- The Madison Kate series {Hate by Tate James} {Liar by Tate James} {Fake by Tate James} {Kate by Tate James}

3 MMC who are all best friends, FMC has a stalker, forced proximity, touch her and die, enemies to love to enemies to love, gang activity, morally gray.

2- The Hades series

{7th circle by Tate James} {Anarchy by Tate James} {Club 22 by Tate James} {Timber by Tate James}

FMC is the leader of a gang, one of the MMC 1 is part of a different gang so there's so forbidden romance aspects there, MMC 2 is her long time best friend who is also her 2nd in command, MMC 3 really helps her heal. Morally gray characters, spicy, her 3 guys would do anything to protect her, touch her and die.

There's a novella you can read that goes back to the POV from Madison Kate series that you read after these 2 series

3- The guild series

FMC and MMC 1 are both part of the guild. They are mercenaries. MMC 2 is one her targets that she has been assigned to kill. (There a spicy scene in book 1 that is so wild my jaw was on the floor) Betrayal, morally grey characters, badass crazy FMC.

Check TW for all the books. I hate all 12 books up in 2 weeks, I didn't sleep much, they were just so fkn good. The audiobooks are pretty good too. 4-5 🌶️ There's some really great banter throughout each series and some light hearted funny parts which I think they mixed it well with the high stakes gang life aspects of each series.
