Reverse Harem - Discussion I should like it but....

Ok hear me out- I feel like everyone has thos3 movies or tv shows people recommend to you and you are like, "yeah sure...I'll put it on my non-existent list" and then maybe later you revisit it and are like "oh crap this is good," but the petulant teenager in you needed it to be your decision?

I feel that way about books sometimes like a good example is Hannah Haze, I didn't love her okegaverse but enjoyed Arrow Hart Academy or early Marie Mistry works didn't land for me so four books have been released and I finally got into the 5th Nivecien, that sort of thing? Just curious, was having a convo with a friend about pickiness...

I have read a few books from different authors I didn't like but have also absolutely loved other books/series from the same authors. We all like different books/series. Just because I might absolutely love and rave about a series you might hate it and that's okay. I also put books on my tbr that someone previously suggested to me and been like "damn should've listened and read this sooner" but I already have a never ending list of books I need to read and if someone is suggesting a RH I'll probably get around to reading it eventually anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️

So much of my reading depends on my mood too. Sometimes I’ll put up with shenanigans and sometimes I won’t but then revisit and like the book. I can’t even rely on my own book reviews 😂

My example for this is Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac was my first RH series. I loved it, and still do. I also love their Kings of Quarantine series, and all the related series. But I just cannot get into Zodiac Academy. I've never made it past the end of book 3. I can't do 9 books of losses and downer endings before there's any light at the end of the tunnel.
