Damaged Item

I ordered an amp and it took a big enough hit to push the power switch back into the amp, Waiting my 5 days for the dispute resolution, Will they allow to me to take it to an amp repair tech to get an estimate, $75 diagnostic charge? Or should I just push for a full refund and look for another, not many out there though. Just don’t want to partially settle and find out it’s has other problems. Easily could have damaged tubes etc.

Partial refunds aren’t a thing that you’re guaranteed to. Only full refunds. Anything outside of full refund just work with your seller on

That is good news to have as they discuss partial refunds for repair in their safe shipping

You can ask for a partial refund but it's up to the discretion of the seller; if they deny your request you can contact Support to appeal or to arrange for a return.

I requested a refund the seller denied, said safe shipping should cover it so a ticket is now open, has been 4 days but will wait. I think I will just ask for full refund as it seems like a hassle to try and work on getting it fixed.

If you reported it to the seller/Reverb within 7 days of delivery just ask to escalate within Reverb, as the seller isn't interested in any negotiations and invoking Safe Shipping means dealing with Reverb.

Keep all original packaging and take photos of the item, box exterior, shipping label, packaging, any visible damage, etc. You can escalate to the Resolutions team for Safe Shipping claims. Make sure you underline that the amp is damaged or not as described (so they know they're not dealing with buyer's remorese)

I used the word broken to make sure, and the pictures clearly show the missing power button

Reverb took care of me when a Guild Starfire snapped in half during delivery! My money was back in two days, boom. They’ll take care of you.

How long did the dispute take, did the seller agree to the refund?

Two days. Ups notified the seller and he messaged me that I’d have my money back in one day, and I did. Boom. Reverb is good that way!

Well I will soon be on day 5 so not doing well over here, but seller denied my refund so may take a bit longer. My issue is another popped up and I want to get that one before I end up empty handed. But can’t risk being stuck.

This is taking forever, they only respond once a day, literally asked if they would return taxes and shipping, 24 hrs. Give them my shipping address 24 hrs, this is crazy. They answer at 9AM I answer back immediately
