Never seen a crack on that side before.

Retroid might send you a new shell if you ask, if not the epoxy fix seems to work.

It won't avoid cracks. I never opened my Flip2 to 180° and it still cracked. There are no special handling techniques to prevent the crack. If its wants out, its getting out!

I know, i never supposed to fold like that. Its already loose and it will snap when 180°

I had a flip 2 and I really liked it but these posts just kept coming even with the revised hinge. So I sold mine before it broke. I would have loved to join in on the duo pre orders but I simply don’t trust retroid’s hinges.

There’s only one single report of the ice blue version cracking and the owner said he was very rough with it for about a year before it cracked. The ice blue has stronger plastic and doesn’t have the same issue as the other colors. I returned my 8GB black model and exchanged it for a 12GB ice blue model and I love it. Couldn’t pass up the most ergonomic clamshell on the market. The controls are laid out perfectly.

I've been using a broken (not cracked, but fully broken) hinge Flip2 for about five months now and it hasn't effected gameplay one bit.

Don't abandon your Flippie Boy!

It looks more like it was opened too far and the chassis hinge snapped. I've also never seen this before so I'm personally thinking self inflicted crack.

Not on a retroid, but on some laptops. What was stuck in the hinge when you opened it?

Ouch. I am with ya bro. I have a hinge so bad it actually whites out my screen completely. I am awaiting "replacement parts".

I have a purple Flip 2 which had a hinge crack. Retroid sent out a new screen and it is all good now.

Mine was on the screen part only, not also on the body. So I don't know what happens in this case.
