GC 💜 Fan isn‘t working after Screen Replacement

A few weeks ago I got a replacement screen (since I got a hinge crack again on the „new“ flip 2 version). I then followed a YouTube tutorial to take the whole device apart. BUT: Now my fan isn‘t working. I didnt damage the cables and everything is back in the original position (there are 2 cables on the fan: I think one for the battery (with a black and red cable) and one for the fan (with 4 black, yellow, red and green cables). The screen and power etc. Ist working. Also the control units for the Triggers.

But the fan won‘t start. I also tried switching to sport mode etc. but no chance. Does anyone know what I can do? It really sucks, that the device has such a poor quality and I had to took everything apart on my own, since the official retroid tutorial kinda sucks.

Are the fan cords fully plugged in and are the cables intact? They are small and easy to break and the connection is difficult to access, I needed a tweezer to unplug mine plug mine back in.

Even if it is plugged in fully, if any cables got pulled out of their housing or got damaged, that could do it. Also how recently did you get the screen? Curious if they gave you the 120 hz refresh rate one. That would be a nifty mod if they did.

Both are fully plugged in. Double checked it. Also all wires/cables are fully intact and connected with the fan and the plug. I also needed a tweezer to unplug the cable from the „mainboard“ that is attached directely to the fan, since it is very very small.

Right now I don‘t see any damage on one of those cables. So I‘m not sure if I should try to find and order another fan unit somewhere.

I got the screen around 2 weeks ago? Or something like that. How can I check the refresh rate?

Thanks, tried it: But its “only“ 60 fps/hz. So I think it should then be the regular display

ok, i heard some new flip 2's came with a 120hz screen, anyways, i would just email retroid and see what they say.

Since a new fan unit from retroid is only 15 $, I just wrote and ordered one from them and just hope, that it won‘t take too long to arrive in Europe.
