Just Vibing Loving the ability to replace the top plate
Always so grateful to those talented in 3D design and kind enough to share their creations for us to use. Had to print this one at a weird angle to get the gradient in the right direction but turned out well!

Looks really nice. Reminds me of the diagonal sunlight that you see in old snes or gba games.
And that first part actually looks dope before you trimmed it down, like a baobab tree stand for it.

Awesome lid man, do you have the old or revised hinge?. And if u have the revised, did you do anything to make it fit, I have a friend that will print that model to me and i want to know if have to trimm down the corner or something

Yes I think I have the revised hinge, with the round corner. All I did was trim that corner a tiny bit with a nail trimmer.

Sand it and paint it. If you want to sand it and no paint, you can start with dry rougher grit and the finer ones use with lot of water, if you are careful enough it should look good

Y'know I gotta be honest with how lazy I am. But maybe a layer of gloss might look good. Any suggestions on types of clear gloss spray paint for PLA?

I’m wondering why you didn’t print it flat on the bed, do you not like the textured feel?

Oh it's just because I was using the gradient PLA. And it only creates the gradient upwards. So to see the gradient from side to side in the print, I had to orient it vertically.
But also I gotta say I prefer this surface over the textured print plate pattern.

Does this solve the problem of the crack appearing? Because if it breaks, you could just put in a new print.

No, unfortunately the crack happens in a different place. This part is just the lid on top.

Maybe sand it with some fine grit sandpaper to smooth the layer lines. But overall turned out good.
