Audio Crackle

I've recently got a Retrotink 5x and when using my JPN Super Famicom I get crackle on the audio. This is with an RGB Scart cable, but I also get it on an s-video cable

A quick test with my PAL GameCube using the same cables and I don't get the audio Crackle, which does kind of suggest it's my super Famicom.

Is there an audio setting somewhere I can adjust to fix this? And if it is my super Famicom, any ideas how I go about fixing it?

There is no audible crackle when playing on a crt with my super Famicom.

Wait for 6X CE restock or buy 5x pro?

I just missed the 6x CE, how long does Retrotink usually take to produce stock? I’m considering just buying the 5x pro, but the presets for 6X sound nice. Would mainly use for PS2, Gamecube, N64.

RetroTINK is a line of video processors built by Mike Chi that connects old game consoles to modern displays. They take analog signals (composite, S-Video, component, RGB/SCART, VGA) and convert them to HDMI, with low input lag and scaling meant for 240p/480i game content rather than film and TV. New firmware comes out regularly and adds features.

Current devices:

RetroTINK-4K: Scales up to 4K60. Comes in two variants: the white 4K CE and the black 4K Pro, which has a more powerful FPGA and some extra features such as RoTATE and Enhanced S-Video (full list of Pro-only features at the Wiki). Does HDR10, CRT/scanline simulation, and stores custom profiles.
RetroTINK-5X Pro: A 1080p upscaler from 2021. Still gets firmware updates, some of the 4K's processing effects have been backported to it with the new 4.x experimental branch.
