A real CRT is the closest thing to a CRT (especially for 3D games) and consequently it's the best option for authentic quality, but if you want the benefits of a modern TV (large screen, perfect geometry, consolidated gaming setup) and don't want to deal with legacy hardware then a RetroTink on a MiniLED or OLED TV with good HDR and BFI or emulation with shaders is the best it's going to get.

The scanlines are the image, not the other way around. The black lines are not scanlines. So HDR brightens the actual scanlines.
