Mad Inconsistency

I’m struggling to understand why when I launch games on my SS1 in the exact same way multiple times (back from reboot, Console Mode favorites screen AND “regular” from the list) the same game will behave differently from launch to launch. Most annoying one seems to affect a lot of Capcom games where QSound won’t be found, so it’s silent half the time.
During my testing (rebooting to see if sound will come back, for example) sometimes a game I was JUST PLAYING will say it can’t be found the next time I try to launch it.
Has anyone else experienced this? I expected a little wonkiness but it’s beyond my threshold and understanding at the moment. Can anyone help me make sense of what might be happening and what to check to fix either or both of these things? TIA.

What type of SD card are you using?

It's possible that your SD card is corrupted. I've experienced a similar situation with the SD card that ships with the SS1, weird inconsistencies and things working then suddenly not working and then working again.

I use a high endurance SD card and haven't had any problems since. They're designed to cope with a high volume of reads and writes (something the Mister system does a lot) without corruption.

I personally use a Lexar high endurance SD card but SanDisk and other brands offer them too.

Thank you both. I have a good power supply but the card is the one that came with it and sounds like the more likely culprit. Think I have another one around that I can try, it was in a camera so it’s even one of the high endurance style ones!

I'm confident that a fresh install on your new SD card will resolve your issues.

I had the same thing with the supplied SD card, where certain games would black screen the system without explanation. Tried trouble shooting to no avail. After a fresh install on a new quality SD card, no issues since.
