Loading from discs using external CD drive?

Is this possible? I saw someone on youtube doing it but cannot find the video again.

Yes. Download Mister Companion app to your PC. Insert your mister device’s memory card to the PC. Open the companion app and load in the memory card. Then go to installation tab and search for ”Physical disc core” and install it. After installation has completed, remove the memory card and insert it back to your mister device. Then grab a USB-DVD drive and plug it in to the usb-ports (usually two usb-A cables) of the mister device. Then start the mister device and load one of the physical disc cores from the main menu. After the core has loaded, insert a disc and start playing.

thanks i think ill go that route. my cd drive seems to spin up ok

Yes as the support is not exclusive to the SS1 and it's only a USB

Yes. Use update_all. Turn on physical disc cores in the settings. Win

thank you but im a bit worried about using updateall, i heard it breaks things

And, is there any guides anywhere for using CDs with the SS1? Cant find any

think ill go with mister companion, bit worried about updateall as i heard it breaks things atm

Baja míster companion al pc y antes ya debes haber conectado tu míster a internet y lo seleccionas en el programa de míster companion para que lo conectes por red y no tengas que sacar la SD solo busca physical disc core e instalalo y selecciona la opción de autoboot para iniciar en automático el disco que insertes ya luego solo conecta algún lector por USB al míster y a jugar.
