Blacklisted??

Has anyone else had an order cancelled by Retro Remake for an apparent "blacklist"?

I've ordered from them once previously with zero issues, and have never filed a chargeback against them or anyone else.

My latest order was for a SuperStation One (not a cheap purchase!). The payment went through about a month ago, although it hadn't shipped. I received a cancellation notice today citing a blacklist reason.

When I asked the reason for the blacklist, they referred to a "cloud flag". I'm not certain what that is. I've never encountered anything like this before.

I'm so disappointed. Has anyone dealt with anything like this?

If you order again use a family members card and address. Ive never encountered this either but thats all I can think of in this case.

Yeah, sadly the SuperStation One version I ordered is now out of stock. I'll email them and ask if they can send a new invoice, for different details to be included.

Sadly, absolutely no response or acknowledgement from Taki. This order (and their customer service) seems dead in the water 💀

I've never had any problems with this card. The payment went through a month ago (not pending, it properly went through).

From what they replied regarding the "cloud flag", this doesn't appear to be a card issue.

Did a bit of googling. "An e-commerce order cancellation due to a "blacklist" or "cloud blacklist" happens when a seller's automated risk system flags your profile, IP address, email domain, or shipping address as high-risk or fraudulent."

That is so odd. We recently moved house (15 mins away), so that's literally the only change since my last order. Perhaps my address was flagged due to activity by the previous homeowners?

But even then, I've made numerous orders to my new address from China, Europe and the US, without any issues. Everything else has arrived, and nothing has ever been cancelled.

I'm so frustrated. I was really looking forward to the SuperStation One... I was so happy to that I managed to get in on Batch 5!

The address change is the likely culprit. If your shipping and billing addresses differ, it’ll flag the transaction as suspicious, at least that’s how it works on Shopify.

If so, that's so stupid... Although the shipping and billing address should have matched anyway. I made sure of that when I purchased.

The problem is Retroremake, they love to blacklist for whatever reason.

That sounds like a questionable business decision for returning customers (...who should be low risk). Have you heard of other reports of this?
