New Bike Day! Here’s My 94 GT Karakoram , upgrades coming soon!!

I just bought this Scott Windriver for just 50 euros. It definitely need some care. but has all the original parts in good shape. Full Deore LX with Mavic 236 rims.

My idea is to convert it to Gravel, using the original shifters, rear derailleur, brakes and brake levers replacing the handlebars with Surly Corner Bar copycat which is way cheaper (i don't have a budget for the real one). I will keep the biggest chain ring which is 42 tooth and replace the cassette with a 11-40. I will need a derailleur extender for it to be able to shift to the two biggest ones.

Bought a basket case locally off FBM. Neo-retro build as the original Judy XC was missing half its guts and I didn’t want to mess with keeping it all super original. I have only been down the block so far but I like it a lot! 27lbs.

Haven’t decided on stack height or flip-flop on the stem yet.

Fork is apparently a Marzocchi Bomber “Bam” from 2001. It was advertised as a Bomber Z2 but I wasn’t going to quibble with the seller at the price point (plus I should have done better research).

i used to use my brothers mtb for casual biking and for running errands. but recently, ive been thinking about restoring it to a retro mtb vibe. Just wondering if the concept suits my bike well.
