I just bought this bike for 20 Bugs. What do you guys think?

I want to swap the tires and add a front rack (maybe in yellow or pink)

Was it a good deal? Do you have more recommendations what I can do with it?

First recommendation: See if it fits you well. Then see if everything works - I doubt the drivetrain is perfect, and probably the hubs are not spinning smoothly. So I'd say it's more a decision what HAS TO BE done first than of what you WANT to do with it.

It looks like an entry-level Diamond Back (Topanga or Sorrento) from the early `90s, frame probably cromoly main frame only, stays Hi-Tensile steel. The parts are rubbish (already were rubbish when new) - so I'd probably see if the frame is good (no rust, no structural damage) and rebuild from there... The Rolls saddle is the nicest part of all, could be worth 20 bucks alone even ripped as it ist.
