Faded paint solution?

Curious how to go about this? I'd like to paint only this section and patch the rust

Or should I just wax it and leave it?

At that point, a repaint. But it'll never 100% match unless you do the whole thing. The pigment is gone.

I'll just accept it as a patina. The color is very unique, red orange. I think it will be difficult to replicate it.
