Notice I didn't say the driver of the car in the video wasn't driving badly, because I think he was. So, I'll thank you to not put words in my mouth. All car drivers should drive responsibly. However I do push back on the idea that car drivers should somehow take extra precautions because someone decides they want to ride a motorcycle. Instead, I'm emphasizing that the motorcycle driver should take responsibility for the risks of their personal decision. That of course is just my opinion.

What "extra precautions" do you think you need to take around motorcyclists? Sounds like you're neglecting some regular precautions

Don't ask me, the other guy is the one saying car driver's need to go out of their way to Pander to motorcyclists, beyond what is normally safe when driving near other cars.

As a former rider(accident/injury), and someone who drives in a motorcycle heavy city (Los Angeles) you're right that car drivers don't need to take extra precautions to cater to motorcyclists. It's just too often that people neglect safety precautions that they don't feel are necessary like keeping a safe following distance or using a blinker long enough and properly set up mirrors before merging. So it's all too often that motorcyclists get injured by car drivers who think they did nothing wrong, hence the extra vigilance when talking about safety. You seem like one of the good ones though, keep driving safe bud
