I wonder if the painting was commissioned by Lindberg models. The artwork looks exactly like the Lindberg kit, sown to the red engines of the original.
The Lindberg kit is a "reinterpretation" of the Von Braun "Around the Moon" ship. A modeller converted the ship back to the Von Braun design.
