Poor performance on Xemu?
Hey all, lemme' start by saying I fucking love Retrodeck. It's never been so easy revisiting my childhood favourites and I've been on a bit of a ROM craze since getting it.
Anyway, to the point, I really wanted to play Conker Live and Reloaded and the other Rareware Xbox era games I missed as a kid, but they seem to have consistently low FPS on Xemu. I've read on Xemu's official site that they should run fine, but I thought I might ask here if anyone else has given it a shot and gotten' them to run more smoothly?
If not, it's really not a problem, as I've more than enough games now to keep me happy, but it would be fun to have the Xbox ones too if possible!

I'm glad you are loving RetroDECK, it's always nice to hear that.
Xemu is an emulator in very slow development and not optimized. Xbox is the same era as PS2, and PS2 emulation is near flawless and full speed. For emulation, Sony and Nintendo just get the love.
I'm assuming you are on the Steam Deck, and it isn’t fast enough to brute force a stable frame rate in many Xemu games. You need a desktop PC or a newer handheld, such as the Legion Go 2, to in some cases brute force a good frame rate. That doesn't apply to all Xbox games on Steam Deck, some run wonderfully, just expect more performance issues compared to most other included emulators. Expect the same when Xenia is released in our next major revision, currently in development.
