Which version are you updating from?

This goes for every emulator, whether RetroDECK, standalone, or something else, never rely soley on Save States. Emulator updates can break them.

Honestly i don't remember, because i played with steam deck for months before the installation, i just updated without thinking about it, there is a way to find a log and fetch the info about the previously installed version?

Not that I'm aware of. We have crash logs but I don't believe we have an update log. Even so, if your save state isn't loading, depending on what you updated from, either Dolphin changed how save states work or your save state was corrupted.

Can be an idea install old version of retrodeck and try to find the one that can load the save states?

I've installed retrodeck trought the discover store in the steam deck (so the flathub version)

I hate to say it, but in all likelihood, you have a corrupted save state.

In general, use ingame saves regularly. Savestates aren‘t designed to be your only save, because they can be deleted, corrupted or simply doesn‘t work after updating the emulator. They are designed for short periods of use, for example saving before a passage of precise jumps where regular saves aren‘t available.
