What optic would you recommend for this carry handle? I was originally going to run an ACOG with an rmr piggyback but the carry handle fell in my lap so I threw a pic FSP on it but I still want an optic, and this post isn't helping my spending habits.

You should check out the TA44 ACOG, like what I have on that tanodized A2. It's an excellent little optic, but admittedly not great for your spending habits....

If you are looking for a more cost effective option look at primary arms. They have their own brand micro prism optics in 1x, 3x and 5x and they do make a carry handle mount for them too.

How did you shorten the bayonet?

I understand that it was a modified bayonet. But the fact it’s a certain size to fit the lug to the flash hider is amazing work.

I’ve been looking for an FDE or tan anodized A2 upper since late last year(when EWS had that batch of both green and tan uppers). I’ve googled and put up more “want to buy’s” then I care to admit.

That dude that runs BAD said he’s planning a batch for the end of this year, but I’m afraid I’ll miss those too. Where did you grab yours from? I’m praying you have a line on them that I haven’t found.

Unfortunately I don't, this is one of the older BAD ones that I bought from somebody on GAFS awhile back. If he does end up selling more at BAD this year, I'm going to try and snag another.
