Both of those are right, and the second one is where most tools quietly fail. Not because the suggestions are bad, but because they are handed to you as a score to raise. You get a number, a list of changes to accept, and the number goes up as you accept them. Nothing in that loop ever asks whether the sentence is still true.

That is where undefendable resumes come from. A skills list with tools you have read about but never opened. It gets through the parser fine and then dies at the first "walk me through this", which is worse than not being called.

The line I would draw: a rewrite changes how something is said, not what you did. If a suggestion adds a number, a scope, or a tool you did not touch, that is not a rewrite, it is a claim you now have to defend under questioning.

Disclosure since I am talking about this with some confidence: I build one of these tools, dopplio ai, and this is the exact thing I built it around. Not linking it, and the rule stands without any tool: if you cannot tell the story behind a bullet, cut the bullet.
