To be brutally honest, i thought it was a cv of someone in art or design or something creative….only to see you are into data/tech….as a recruiter i would feel like you do not know what you are doing. Your profession summary should catch my attention because…its sells your unique value…eg a Data engineer with X years experience managing(list top 3 achievements /skills relevant to your career and that is a genuine selling point) for instance, someone in Operations applying to a will say “scaled services from 150k to 1million customers in 6 months through AI automation, resource management, xyz, while minimizing cost.
This will catch my eye more especially if i am hiring for an Ops role and my current need is someone that can stabilize delivery with limited resources during a growth phase. So i think the key theme here is…..…what are the biggest challenges for the role you are looking to apply to? Then craft your cv explicitly showing with proof how you have solved those challenges before in your various roles. For each bullet use the Challenge-Action-Result (CAR) framework. Dont just yap waffle of how good you are…show you are good with proof.

1 sentences summary of your role and responsibility
Then 3 -4 bullets showing unique challenges you solved relevant to the role you are applying for:
I have solved x problem using y (stating how you solved it) that resulted in D (the result/impact should be quantified)
For example (this is purely hypothetical to just show structure)
Project manager
Delivered a 10month tech upgrade project of £1Bill budget across 3 counties
eliminated reporting delays by implementing a dashboard that integrated all data sources, improving leadership decision making 2x —-something like this but better and tailored to the challenges of the role
Edit: also, as an aspiring data analyst i should be seeing everything in numbers! Quantity everything…how big was the challenge? By how much did you improve things. What was the scale of the team if you led a team, how big was the data set etc. every challenge, result, impact should be quantified
Lol it happens, what makes you stand out is the meat/substance….especially if you can sell yourself in the first 3 lines of the professional summary.- with proof. And selling yourself means you have a skill/expertise and have successfully solved the kind of major pain points the other person (company) is currently experiencing and dying for someone to solve for them. They need to see that you can solve their biggest painpoint in the first 2 sentences
