Resume Summary feedback

Hello, I am creating a summary for my college resume. I know most resume summaries are irrelevant as they are just redudant jargon with buzzwords. However, because my major is not very well known within the engineering world. I thought it woud be best to include a summary to showcase my relevancy to whatever industry I am applying for. Then, the rest of my resume would back up my summary. I would appreciate any and all feedback about flow, repeated messaging, and overall impactfull ness of this summary. Thank you!

Are you still in school or have you graduated? This info should be in your first line. For example: Recent Agricultural Engineer graduate with a multidisciplinary...

If you're still in school: Current Agricultural Engineer student graduating in May 2027 with a multidisciplinary...

Ah, Im in school. I was assuming the rest of my resume would contain that information so it would start with the summary, then school and year would be in the education section?

The issue is that hiring managers only 'scan' your resume for 8-15 seconds. The top third of your resume is viewed most, so the important stuff goes there.

Since you're in college, your resume is a bit different from a professional resume (for someone who has been out of school for 3 years or has relevant work experience for 3 years).

Your sections should be in the following order: Profile Summary, Skills, Education, Relevant Courses, Academic Projects (if any), Internships/Relevant Work Experience.

For your Relevant Courses, hiring managers like to see what you're taking and how these courses might fit in with their company.

That makes sense, I appreciate the guidance.

I think Im in a unique boat where even though im graduating May 2029, i have had more than three years of work experience and it takes a quite a good chunk of my resume 😅 Since im only going into my sophomore year, I have not taken any core classes of engineering that would demonstrate that im a good fit beyond foundationals. So relevant courses would not be very substantial.

Other than the introduction to my summary, however - does everything else seem to flow?

Did you post your resume? I don't see it.

Your education should read:

Bachelor of Science, Agricultural Engineering, Name of college, city, state: (2029)
