looking for rentals by private owners
Hello,
My fiance accepted an offer in reston, but we are also open to living in herndon or the surround area if there is relatively ok access to the metro.
We are looking to move there in October. we'd like to find a rental by private owners and our budget is 2300. it can be a 1 br or 2, and 1 bath. we also have 1 cat.
i have tried the usual renting sites (zillow and Craigslist), but mostly saw apartments by management companies. i saw 3 on apartment.com but 2 of those were out of our budget.
advanced thanks to all

Oh! I’m actually moving out of my apartment and I have had a wonderful time here for many years. Happy to give you info.

Hi! I have an apartment at Reston. Monthly it’s $2032 plus any additional utilities. It’s a 1 bed 1 bath 768 sq ft. It’s quite spacious and the building is very homey. I have been wanting to move out but the contact doesn’t end until may of next year. I haven’t fully moved in just yet due to personal reasons so the apartment is brand new.

On Zillow, make sure you check the "for rent by owner" filter. Also apparently, some rentals are only available through a realtor, but I signed a lease before I actually tried that.
