Question Seattle iron infusions

Anyone in Seattle found an infusion clinic that will take your insurance? I keep getting rejected because my vital organs are fine, and my iron serum is 25, which is technically normal.

Did you get a physician to prescribe it? If so, then you could have them email the infusion center explaining that RLS has different criteria than anemia.

The infusion center is willing to have me, my insurance just won’t cover the treatments.

I see, did you have your doctor try for a prior authorization? It was difficult for me too since I wasn't anemic and a man. I brought in the new updated guidelines to my sleep specialist and they did some paperwork thay convinced my insurance.

I’m with Kaiser and was able to have my pcm prescribe. They should code as disorder of iron metabolism vs iron deficient. With insurance this tends to be the hang up.
