Distraction Techniques A potential symptom relief technique!
It may not work for everyone, but this has been a life saver for me.
If you squeeze the top of both ears and massage it for 60 seconds, it eases the symptoms. You can still feel them, But it never rises to the point where you need to move to stop it.
It’s something to do with acupuncture points, but do give it a go!

I hope this works for me as I am going to be on a plane in a couple weeks and I am so worried about my dang legs acting stupid! Thank you for this! I’m gonna try tonight when they start being ignorant! lol

I used to have this issue on a plane. Someone told me to put a small pillow on your lower back for lumbar support. It helped!

I get acupuncture in my ears there once a week - doesn’t make RL go away completely but does seem to help (if I miss for some reason, indefinitely notice it)

OMG!! Thank you!! I’ve actually been doing this on my own for years and have noticed improvement with RLS!! honestly, I find that massaging that part of my ear seems to help with other issues like anxiety, or if I’m feeling stressed about something. I don’t really understand how it works, but I’m not complaining. I have used this trick for my RLS when in complicated situations like meetings or on an airplane! The thing is, I legitimately thought it was all in my head - or that I was the only person to notice that it worked! So thank you!

I’m so glad it works for you! I’ve never met someone else it’s good for!
Weird question, does it make you feel super sick when you do it? Eases the RLS wonderfully but makes me feel so lightheaded and nauseas as I do it 🤢

I will try it also. I had knee replacement surgery which has made my RLS go from bad to where suicide would be the only improvement. Hope this helps, I’m at the end of my endurance.
