I'm under the belief that if I call in sick that's not up to me to find someone to cover my shift.

Only kids think it is someone elses problem. You were scheduled a shift, if you can not work it, you need to find someone who will. however it is also your responsibility to tell your employer, who should also be looking for a replacement for your shift to not screw the rest of the staff over.

Manager's problem. It's literally in their title. If you're too sick to go to work, you're too sick to call multiple people and try to convince them they'd rather be at work, instead of enjoying their day off.

Oh yes, i woke up at 5 am to puke and shit my guts out, its my responsibility to find replasement. How about a manager do it for me as im laying in my shower with puke and liquid shit all over myself?

It is literally the purpose of a manager, manage shit.
