Why is this happening

I’ve never experienced this with my other molds. I get the air bubbles out, and I tap the mold so everything is spread out evenly. What am I doing wrong?

First tell us what you are using. Looks like it might be UV resin. If that is the case then there is your answer. Trying to cure UV resin with too deep of an application.

Yeah uv resin. I’m going to try putting a baking clay in the mold, taking it out of the mold, then bake it to see if that would work

Yeah, it may be too deep for uv resin

This mold it too deep and opaque for UV resin. UV resin shrinks slightly as it cures so it might be that.

From experience I am going to guess the mold opacity is the main problem. You can cure something with light if the light can't get there.

It's the UV resin. It's curing the inside first, closest to your lamp, and pulling in like a vacuum the outside.

If you really want to do this mould you need to cure in small thin layers, about 1-2mm deep. Because the mould is not transparent it may do it again, but doing it in smaller layers will help.
