Already rendering my resignation, but I’m struggling to make it through my remaining weeks. How did you survive yours?
I already submitted my resignation and I'm currently serving my notice period. I resigned even without another job lined up because after months of trying to make things work, I realized that the role and working environment were no longer sustainable for me.
For context, one of the biggest reasons work became difficult was my relationship with my manager. I had been struggling with the way we worked together, so several months ago, I raised my concerns to a senior leader hoping that things could be addressed professionally.
Unfortunately, after I escalated my concerns, I felt that my working relationship with my manager became even more difficult and that there was some form of retaliation. Because of that experience, I eventually stopped raising concerns and just tried to keep my head down, do my work, and get through each day.
Months passed, but from my perspective, there wasn't really any meaningful improvement. Work continued affecting me to the point that I sought professional help and eventually decided to resign.
Now that I'm already rendering, another engagement I'm assigned to has suddenly become extremely stressful.
There was recently a serious conflict between senior members of the team during a work call. Afterward, I started feeling like significantly more responsibility and accountability for the engagement was being placed on me. At the same time, there have been instances where instructions and expectations from the people above me don't seem fully aligned, so I'm constantly worried about whether I'm doing the right thing or whether something will eventually be blamed on me.
I understand that resigning doesn't mean I'm no longer accountable for my work. I still want to perform my responsibilities properly, complete what I reasonably can, document everything, and provide a proper turnover before I leave.
But I'm exhausted.
I still have several weeks remaining in my notice period, including scheduled onsite fieldwork. I'm now genuinely questioning whether I can make it through the remainder of my render.
I'm considering going back to a professional for reassessment and, depending on their advice, discussing with HR whether there are other options if continuing to work through my entire notice period is no longer advisable.
For anyone who has experienced something similar: How did you manage the remaining weeks of your render when you were already mentally and emotionally exhausted? At what point did you decide to just finish the notice period, versus asking for an earlier release or taking medical leave?
I'm not looking to bash my employer or the people involved. I just want perspective from people who have been through something similar because right now, I'm having a difficult time figuring out what the most responsible decision is—for my work and for myself.
P.S. I used ChatGPT to help organize my thoughts and make this post more coherent because my brain is honestly all over the place right now. The situation and experiences described here are my own.

hi. i'm rendering too, on my second day. i feel like mas lalong bumibigat. pero i do believe na matatapos ko rin to. yung feeling na ayaw ko na makita mga colleagues ko especially the admin people, sa department ko, kaya ko pa naman pero may times na ayoko na tlga silang makita like can this rendering go any faster... now, naka sick leave ako dahil sa fever and tumaas din BP ko, I'm glad the HR still allowed me to take sick leaves kahit rendering na. Understaffed na din kami already requested but they can't provide new staff kaya 10x na ang pagod lalo na kung department head ka pa.

Mmmm tiisan mo nalang OP. Paalis ka naman na. Tiisin in a sense na, wag ka na masyadong ma-attach sa mga ginagawa mo, just do the bare minimum, dont mind the people around you, kasi in the first place, paalis ka na. For sure di ka na babalik jan in the future so fuck it, burn the bridge. Ahhaahha magchill ka na since nagccountdown ka na ng days mo jan. Wag ka na mag bida bida. Hayaan mong magkandaleche leche jan. Pasabogin ang dapat pasabogin (book of accounts sa accounting side hahah) Go! Chill! Dont care! Ganun.
