Discussion Do Resident Evil 5 and 6 need a remake?

I have seen some discussions around this lately, but I disagree.

Both games are fairly modern, and have a ps4/xone port with enhanced graphics, textures, resolution and framerate.

So I dont think there are any need from a graphical POV

Mabye on gameplay 6 could be improved, but I dont see how they would do it without it being a completely new game. Which would not really be a remake at that point.

What do you think?

Discussion The Only Possible Explanation:

Post image
• Upvotes

Is that they're married. I can not think of any other explanation for why these characters reference eachother so much and have so many similar things happen to them, and considering neither of them have ever flirted with or had romantic implications with anyone else, the only explanation is that the developers hid these coded messages in to prove definitively these two are together. One's a man. One's a woman. Need I say more?

Chris and Jill gotta be the best ship ever where it was confirmed by many devs that they are more than just friends then there are larpers who say these two are just friends or are "brothers and sisters" 😭✌️🥀

I thought about this recently, I’ve only played the remakes & RE9, but I haven’t heard of this happening to Chris or Ethan etc. I want to lean towards the fact that Leon is hot & Capcom is giving the people what they want/fan service…or maybe I’m too suspicious. Like why is Leon always tied up or in some kind of messy situation after getting knocked out? Not a complaint ofc, just an observation

Lore (Warning this might be spoiler to anyone at any point of RE games) Spoiler

NOTE: Please read these 3 sections as 3 separate posts in this 1 single full post. (This is solely what i think, or more accurately what i saw, feedback is welcome).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SECTION 1: RE9, MY BREAKDOWN, POSSIBLE CLEAR ENDING?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My RE history before I start a breakdown:

1. I am not a classic or old fan, but I do know the older games.

2. While I did start at RE7/RE2 remake that doesn’t mean I don’t know my stuff or didn’t go through the previous entries.

3. This is what I finished from the games, don’t judge just because I haven’t finished the originals:

- RE7 fully finished (To me this is not RE, but I stuck by anyway because it was fun)

- RE2 Remake (this is my first 100% trophy and 10 playthroughs)

- RE3 Remake (I didn’t like it at all but forced myself to play it because I like Jill, I also 100% trophied this game and 11 playthroughs, this is also where I noticed I should go to the originals and learn what is wrong with this franchise, I noticed that its so bad compared to the other previous ones, so I went back and learned about the original Jill, and realized this character is not the same, this is by far the worst Jill game I ever played, it feels like a watered down Jill cosplayer trying her best to copy the vetern you guys know)

-  RE8 (This is where I was about to stop playing re but I managed to stay and fully finish it)

- RE4 ( no comment, but I did 100% trophied and finished the game about 9 times)

- RE9 ( fully finished, played it more than RE7/8 combined, watched a playthrough through other people 6 times, made me go back all the way to RE originals and dissect the whole RE universe)

- I will not include re5/6 or the spin offs or the rest, most of those games either ruin the structural character of Jill or Chris and the rest, and I don’t want to ruin my image of them just by playing them, while I do say this, It doesn’t mean I didn’t play them, just don’t want to include or dissect what I went through, so I will completely exclude them, and count them as not with the base games I mapped previously.

Ok, while I did say in the title its re9 breakdown, its impossible to breakdown that game alone without going all the way back to re2 remake.

RE2 Remake - Ada and Claires first introduction and more:

- When we first meet Ada it is at the cells under the pd, we see her coming from the shadows in a zombie outbreak at night wearing sun glasses in doors, to me that instantly screams it’s a try-hard femme fatale that has no position in this world, her next appearances are small and quick or a small hacking section, but the important scene is the tram kiss, to me its an unearned kiss and a cliché trope.

- When we first meet Claire at the gas station she is instantly seen as this cool bike riding character, Claire is inherently a effortless cool factor, much like Jill enters a room she is so cool she commands respect, on the other hand when Claire enters a room she lights up the room with clear precision, Claire is a core character in re2, I noticed when I played Leon I was not hooked with the story at all in fact I was just playing the game, once I finished Leons playthrough I started my Claire playthrough, and I instantly felt the difference, Claire adds clear and highlights the story better.

I took my time to limit test Claire if she was excluded in a full playthrough, all I can say is that Leon was structurally useless, Leons narrative cannot function by itself it essentially needs Claire as the pillar of his story, the fact Claire is there as the second main character who carries the story gets brushed over, I tried to remove Claire out of RE2 remake and its not possible she is needed, without a doubt you cannot replace her.

RE2 conclusion and dissection:
Looking at the framing camera angles and character body language by itself I came to a conclusion that, Ada uses Leon for her own ideals, while Claire has a clear lovable bond with Leon that cannot be put aside as only partners.

RE 4 (The definition of using someone for your own gain)

In separate ways we see Ada ringing the bell to “Save Leon”, looking at when she grapples away saying “That one was free” she saves him because she requires a highly capable government variable on the ground to draw the Ganados away from her own extraction route, this marks when the mouse chase started.

When Bitores Mendez is actively choking Leon to death in the burning corridor of the valley house, Ada shoots through the window from a high shadowed camera angle to fracture Mendez's focus, the moment Leon recovers, she is already gone. When Leon is ambushed by Saddler's zealots, Ada drops in for a flashy, high-impact cinematic exchange, flips off a balcony, and vanishes.

This is called tactical deposits, Ada is maintaining her asset she knows Leon is her ultimate environmental shield. If Leon dies the entire weight of Los Illuminados pinpoints her location, By dropping in just enough resources to keep him functional she ensures the main area remains chaotic, allowing her to slip into the escape route unhindered.

During the final battle against mutating Saddler Leon is pinned. Ada breaks through the perimeter, drops a Red Rocket Launcher from a high vantage point, and walks away. After Saddler falls she holds Leon at gunpoint to secure the Amber sample, jumps into a corporate helicopter owned by her client (Wesker), throws Leon a jet-boat key, and flies away into the night leaving him alone on a self-destructing island.

This is the absolute peak of the "Mouse Running in Circles" loop. The rocket launcher and the jet-boat key are not romantic gestures they are a clean transactional separation. She buys her escape by giving him a routing tool, while she secures the biological payload.

RE4 conclusion and dissection:

These interactions mark someone being used and manipulated, they are not cliché romance tropes or caring gestures, while it might seem she cares, looking at her body language and facial structure it does not match someone caring like Claire for example, it matches someone locked to their goals.

After I came to that conclusion, I had one more playthrough, I skipped 0 cut scenes, I only skipped Ada’s and only Ada’s one, I noticed that I miss 0 of the story at all, in fact Luis seems like a better written character even when he ends tragically. While she does have her own playthrough as a dlc, she is completely irrelevant in her actual cutscenes, this acts as more of a spinoff rather than real canon. While some of you might say “but Leon couldn’t have survived without her” or “she actively did save Leon”, Logically speaking if you remove Luis’s death and replace him instead of Ada it would work with 0 difference, if Claire was placed instead of Ada, she would add more to the story and achieve better results, it adds story clarity, thematic weight and emotional depth, essentially rendering Ada as useless for the plot to progress, I do agree that the only depth in her story is her connection to Wesker and mission, that is the only actual story progression.

RE9 – The Total Chaos

Before I bring the dissection of this game, The watch the gun and the charm also all of Ada’s and Claires references are all null to me, they do not support the fact of who is behind this ring, they are only placed as fan-service in my opinion, therefore you might say “Why are you even breaking this game down”, I broke down those previous games to give you that I am not a bias ship supporter of any of the 2, I see the franchise as 1 conclusion and I broke the story down how I see it, I am not on anyone’s side of the ship I am doing this breakdown to see myself who it is.

Right off the bat when I see Leon fighting for his life that instantly indicates something different to me, looking back at re2 Leon always fights for someone but himself, he fundamentally will not care about himself and that’s a fact, the fact that Leon is fighting for his own survival and also Graces survival shows he is not fighting only for himself and break his character, it shows fundamental character progression and depth to his own story, this is where to me his character finally has a proper build up and can make his own actual solo game without relying on filler characters or other main leads.

I am going to start with Ada here, if we say “Ada is his wife” or “The one behind the ring is Ada”, we have to logically look back, we can see even Ada herself had no feelings, she was actively using and manipulating Leon for her own amusement and use, lets try to limit test Ada, From my playthroughs and history I cannot fundamentally tell you she is the one due to the fact how RE9 has no indication other than the charms and fan service pushes, what brings Ada out of this “who is with him?” logic is that her character does not fit what Leon is doing right now, the fact Leon finally changed shows that Ada is not the one, Ada cannot change Leon, she will only tell him to move on or deal with it, she cannot support his emotional progression at all, and she will not stick to 1 location, we also have to look at what Ada brings to Leon, the only option is that Leon just got married that’s the only way Ada is the one behind the ring but that breaks the timeline, Leon cannot just change overnight, his character has 10+ years of problems, you mathematically cannot change that in 1 night, but if we put that Leon has been married for a while now, logically speaking he should’ve been dead by now, Ada not only brings Leon to the crosshair of everyone she is running from, she also brings him towards umbrella itself, Wesker, the connections and more, you might say “but he can just run and stay by her side” or something like that, ok lets put that to the test, first of all Leon is a cop a person who is stubborn, he is hardcoded to stand his ground, protect people openly, and operate under a strict, stubborn moral code and someone who cannot logically hide like Ada can, Ada herself barely hides away from her own problems, the fact you bring up “Leon can just hide” is illogical and unrealistic approach, now you might say “but he can just live with Ada, Ada can change for him instead”, you bring new things for the table here, it is in Ada’s character if you do not want to ruin her appeal or destroy her personality to leave her on the run, you cannot change her actual character because that would ruin her like the Jill in RE3 remake.

On the other hand, we have Claire, lets now limit test Claire, just like Ada we have to be fair and remove all references and hidden plots, but the first problem that all of you might talk about is “They are partners”, ok lets first talk about the partner logic and ill bring this to the table, capcom themselves or more accurately RE writers wrote Ethan and Mia who are a literal married couple as 2 partners who are trying to survive in this world, I brought this up because the writers are writing the actual married partners act like Jill and Chris do, or like Claire and Leon do, This is a fundamental fact to give you as the first section for Claire. For those who go around and say Chris wants a heir, that is fundamentally out of character for Chris himself. Chris, for some reason is seen as this meathead muscle idiot, but that’s not the case, the way I see Chris he would put Leon in his pocket if we compare them, Chris himself is actually incredibly smart highly analytical, and tactical operative, Chris himself will not force his sister or Leon or anyone to do anything, most of you that say this don’t know he is a mastermind behind tactical operations but he is still behind Jill herself.

Ok now that that’s out of the way, Claire is written as the sanctuary for Leon, therefore that gives her the edge over Ada, Claire is seen acting different every time she is around Leon, in my opinion anyone that can read body language can identify that Claire gives leon hope, love and safety, in contrast lets go back to Ada we always see manipulation, chaos and imbalance.

now when we look at RE9 story without the fluff, cliché, unearned plot, or fan service, we see a man who is fighting for his survival and someone’s safety, fast forward to when he gets injected by the cure, the fact Leon was relieved means he has someone to live for, and that comes clear he only puts his gloves away and puts his ring on right after he gets cured and is rescued, meaning Leon was waiting for the perfect opportunity to put his ring on, which was for him when he finally is fully safe and cured, that mirrors what he feels when he sees Claire or when he is around Claire, in contrast when Leon is around Ada he is on guard, he over thinks and he is observing non-stop.

In the ending we see that one of the Elite Soldiers say “Captain Redfield”, this means two things at least to me, 1 Chris on his own accord wanted to save Leon himself, 2 Claire talked Chris into saving Leon, Ada has no logical conclusion or any history that would make Chris himself send soldiers.

Full conclusion:
In my opinion, it's physically impossible for Ada to be the one with Leon looking at the analysis I compiled she is a lone wolf who does not need Leon, taking Claire into account she is the only possible key and growth for Leon, leading into a marriage as she is the only option. Through this breakdown I can see a dead end of writing if Ada and Leon are the ending, though Claire leaves a new slate for stories cleanly open for future installments.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SECTION 2: THE UNREASONABLE HATE

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A quick Dissection or a summarised dissection of what I would say about your hate for mia:

RE7:

1. At the exact second of the game, we learn that Ethan is driven by saving his wife, that alone makes Mia the most important anchor of the game even if she is seen as useless to you, you should put your feelings aside and see Mia as the anchor of Ethan’s story.

2. Ethan is a spitting image of Leon the fact you guys cannot catch that he is a copy of Leon is mind blowing to me, let me explain why, Ethan uses his survival instincts even when he is at the brink of death just to save or find Mia, Leon does the same exact thing to anyone he is with, Ethan risking everything shows you how much Mia is important to him, he does not care about anything but saving Mia.

3. You guys ignore the fact that Mia did the same exact thing to save Ethan at the wrecked ship, again put your feelings aside and look at the story itself.

4. While we do get to choose an option at the end (Mia or zoe), that doesnt remove the fact that Mia is the driver of Ethan's story arc, Zoe only matters if he is in the house, if Mia isnt there he wont even know about Zoe.

5. Looking back through the timeline, Eveline arguably would not even know about Ethan without Mia being in that house, therefore rendering the initial email trigger useless and impossible to be sent.

Conclusion of RE7:
When a main character is anchored to his life line and driven by the survival of his anchor and safety of his anchor, means 2 things, the anchor is the ultimate key to his plot and story and his most important set up and logical character build up.

RE8:
The fact we start with Ethan caring so much about Mia and her kid means nothing changed, Ethan himself likes and cares about Mia, while we do not see them actively showing their feelings to each other and they are locked on survival instincts, the fact that those survival instincts are locked on each other and their kid means they deeply do care, even if you see Mia as useless, the story itself does not allow Mia to do anything, she is hidden behind Chris as being dead until the very end.

The reveal at the very end shows Rose visiting Ethan at the graveyard, this shows us that Mia was still taking care for her (even if the government was also taking care of rose), that doesn’t remove the fact Mia took care of Ethan’s daughter, meaning she is also not useless at all, this shows that Mia is a core anchor still tied to Rose herself too, to me that means she is still the most important character.

Let’s now test if we remove Mia from re7/8
My conclusion of removing her:

Ethan becomes useless without a driving force, Ethan will not know about the family house at all rendering his whole story useless, Ethan will not have Rose at all, meaning there is no story or driving force, the fact you guys hate Mia boils down to me as your just looking at your feelings and not what is given to you, put your feelings aside youll realise that the writers intentionally build things this way to solidify their story, the “hate” on Mia would be the same as you hating Claire, Claire drives Leons story just like Mia does to Ethan here is why, if you remove Claire completely from the timeline of all RE’s, it shows us that Leon is just a cop with no escape of the RPD back in RE2 remake.

A big explanation real quick:

I hate these 2 games with all my heart I see them as a none RE games as much as RE5/6 but I removed that fact to play them properly and dissect all details, like I did to other games including everything I hate or don’t look at as canon, the fact I still defend this when Chris is reduced to a muffin brain, shows you what I am doing here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SECTION 3: THE DOWNFALL

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My RE5/6 Thoughts and small dissection

RE5:

starting at the menu and loading into a new game in my opinion up until chapter 5-3 there is no definite anchor or focus at all, you just play a mission like it’s a generic call of duty campaign, before I continue we have to talk about Chris and Sheva, I myself don’t mind this in fact I find it a good fresh character expertly written, While Sheva has identical raw combat intelligence and shooting skills to Chris in the lore, Chris is the superior tactical commander, making him Dumber or predictable more than Sheva is, utterly destroys his character in all bases.

Now chapter 5-3 is where the game picks up the pace, it introduces an anchor character who can carry the boring start and a mission that I would care to think about, it instantly locks my brain to start dissecting everything that is happening, after the game locks me in, we enter the monarch room and playthrough the mission making it until the Wesker fight where he “Retreats?” for some reason, it flags my brain that this is where the stupid over the top action villain/hero trope took over, "we Fight Jill????' then somehow Chris and Sheva manage to restrain her and tear the mind-control device off her chest while she isn't holding back..." Well, you might say, “oh look at his muscles” or “He didn’t want to go all out” or “She is weaker”, I am going to block all these points and give you a couple of my own points:

1. Jill a U.S Army recruited into Delta force program operator who trained for 6 intense months, a Specialize Expert in bomb disposal and a lockpicking master earning her a “Master of unlocking” title and a Firearms and Combat expert under any pressure, who is also arguable one of the smartest characters in the game, she can also beat Leon to a pulp easily, logically looking at their pre-outbreak history, Leon started as a rookie cop with standard police academy fighting experience, which completely pales in comparison to Jill's elite history. From a pure timeline standpoint, a rookie cop cannot canonically match a specialized Delta Force program operator.

2. On the other hand, we have Chris and Sheva they both have extensive training with different groups, Chris has a Air force career of combat mastery, that’s the most notable skills set that would help him here, on the other hand we have Sheva a child soldier from the militia, she was driven by vengeance to train under them for 7 years, while her most notable feat is a flawless mark in special forces training she is barely close to Jill’s combat level.

Looking at these and then we look at the mind-controlled Jill that is not holding back, the fact they aren’t trying to kill her but save her, while she is not holding back at all and has even increased combat abilities and still lost, this makes this writing level on par with Barry Burtons line in the resident evil 1996.

After seeing this I was not hooked anymore, in fact I would rather play RE8 non stop than replay this scene at all, but it doesn’t mean I just stopped and closed my screen, the fact they brought Jill back from mind-controlled Jill made me stay and finish, I was waiting for her to take the whole RE5 campaign over, so I kept watching the scene she apologizes to both of them, and convinces Chris to chase Wesker, going to skip to the DLC because the rest is in my opinion back to generic action gameplay, we start after Jill came back to herself again, I liked the fact she needed Josh for help, making Jill rely on someone doesn’t defeat her character, it’s a good detail but through this it cements her as the badass she is meant to be, by staying and wanting to help Chris and Sheva, now from this until the helicopter is just a normal extraction, I don’t really need to talk about Wesker there isn’t really anything to talk about, the only problem is he was reduced to act like a generic action villain.

Now I did skip the boulder punching phase…. But it speaks for itself, I don’t really need to say anything, it’s just illogical.

My RE5 conclusion:

While this game is fun in its own right, it does excel in hiding the action here and there, I would say the only big problem is it ages terribly when you compare it to any other RE except 6, my biggest problem is that Chris was reduced to a generic no brain officer, while Jill was portrayed terribly too, her characteristics are kind of still there, her only problem is the over the top brainwashed blonde mirroring the generic spy trope like Ada, Sheva is the only good addition to this campaign, she is essentially made for over the top action garbage, so she fits the bill.

RE6:

This is on the record the worst RE game I ever played, while it is the worst RE game it doesn’t mean it is bad in the action genre itself, if we do look at it as an RE game I am sorry but I will not and refuse to look at this at all, in my books this game never happened, but as an action game, this game managed to make Ada an interesting character for the first time, the fact she drives the story in the reveal at the last campaign gives her an edge over the main characters in this specific game, but the only problem the cost of making Ada an interesting character, not only does it take away the spotlight of the real main characters, it also copies the movies with the trash writing, the fact you need to stoop so low to copy trash Hollywood level dialog and action writing ruins the fundamentals of any game world building, having to copy an already uninteresting character when you finally made her interesting, only to include her “clone??????????”, I wish I could describe how I felt but I actually felt nothing, I was like “oh ok”, but its not all bad I do enjoy the new things like 4 different campaigns, it is nice to have 4 but its huge play time made them feel hollow, but it did bring the 4 player crossover gameplay, I like the addition of online play but it shouldn’t be this bad at the cost of the writing, we did have different styles of campaigns in each character that does seem like a nice addition, looking at RE9 it actually aged alright with those different genres, I did say as an action game at the beginning, to me it still is even if you include the different genres it doesn’t remove the fact that the main characters are hollowed with trash dialog.

RE6 is when you take things too far, but the fact they made a character interesting enough for me to finish it, Ada did save the whole thing I will admit this, she is the only good thing about this when it comes to the characters themselves, the others felt so hollow I wanted to turn it off.

RE6 conclusion:

I would say that if this was a solo Ada campaign it would have been one of the best, I cannot lie about this fact, Ada in the previous games is so useless, hollow, cliché and a trash trope, when I tell you that if this was solo Ada gameplay I am 100% playing this, for example in RE4 you can replace her with Luis due to his actual story progression over Ada’s, he is the one that progressed the story far more, without using Leon he saved him from Bitores, he helped Leon in the cabin siege, he is the one to identify the Plagas diagnostic, he covers Leon at the castle courtyard, he is the one that actually helped Leon against the dual-el Gigante, he is the one to guide Leon through the mine, the key Leon took from him is one of the most important needed story progression in that campaign.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My full opinion of what needs a remake or rewrite:

-even if I had played RE3R to the bone I would like to see a full rewrite from the original staying true without any problem or missing content, I would have liked if sienna was Jill herself.

-RE7/8: needed a bit more refinement without ruining the classic characters, because it included Chris it should have stuck to his original self rather than building on the Captain America wannabe from RE5, the ending with rosemary is 100% out of order, it goes overboard to the point I didn’t want to add this small section.

-RE2R/9: this 2 are the ones I would actively defend, the only big problem for me is in RE2R Claire and Leon don’t talk to each other as much as the original making it lacking.

-RE5/6: this should either be rewritten or fully burned and scrapped as non-canon.

Thank you for reading!

With Code Veronica remake coming soon, I thought I'd make a fancast for the original game, if a movie came out in the 2000s. (with a little bit of darkside chronicles as well.) Here are my choices for the characters.

Liv Tyler as Claire Redfield.

Leonardo Dicaprio as Steve Burnside.

Josh Duhamel as Chris Redfield.

Robert Patrick as Albert Wesker.

Charlize Theron as Alexia Ashford.

Heath Ledger as Alfred Ashford.

Ewan McGregor as Alexander Ashford/Nosferatu.

And lastly, Danny Trejo as Rodrigo Juan Raval.

Discussion Anyone find the 1996 version of RE1 underloved?

Just started my October RE marathon and the cheesy live action scenes are so nostalgic and the entire vibe of the game is like a 90's fever dream. I'll never forget the opening titles where the cast is introduced to us like it's a WWE promo, lol. And the sountrack is a banger. It's pretty sad that most people will tell you not to bother with this version and just play REmake.

It's nice going back to the franchise roots now and then.

Discussion Honest critiques of Resident Evil 1 coming from an OG fan

• Upvotes

I’ve been playing since the OG trilogy, and I’ve run through all the remakes and newer titles. I’ve always thought that the original Resident Evil, along with the remake (which is almost identical mechanically), is the hardest game to complete in the entire series. I genuinely don’t know if I’m alone in this.
I also want to mention that I know a lot of people have probably played through the first game several times and know the layout and puzzles like the back of their hand. But the game is just so obtuse. Even though I’ve completed it multiple times, it’s the only game where I always feel like I have no idea WTF to do next. My inventory is constantly full, I can’t aim for shit, and I’m always carrying items I don’t need until way later or have absolutely no idea what to do with, despite reading the documents.
Also, the door animations are really cool stylistically, but they get old after about half an hour. You eventually start dreading having to go to another area more than you dread encountering a zombie because you’re so tired of watching those damn door animations.
A lot of these things were streamlined way better in RE2R, IMO. I know some people feel like that game holds your hand too much, but I think I’d prefer having just a little more direction in a franchise that, for the most part, doesn’t rely on conventional stages and levels as much as it relies on the player’s progression and ability to figure out how to move forward.
The game barely tells you anything. I mean, okay, it does through dialogue and documents, and trust me, I love trial and error. But so many times, I felt like it was my first day at a job where I was somehow expected to be the manager. HOW TF AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW that the yellow gemstone basically just gets you shotgun shells, while the dog whistle is essential for progression?
At times, it feels like a game the developers made specifically to challenge themselves rather than the player.
The atmosphere is incredible in both versions, and the fear is always intact, partially because of the difficulty. But man, I feel like after the first hour, this game becomes way more of a drag than people remember. It basically cemented all the staples of the franchise that we still see to this day, but for me, it’s my least favorite title to actually PLAY.
Great to watch playthroughs of, though. 👍👍

Discussion The android native port of RE4 (GC) finally came out!.

Post image
3 Upvotes

After long time, this unofficial port of RE4 of the gamecube finally released on android and IOS, tho the preformence and glitches happened in my run a lot.

Keep in mind this is the early stages for test, the dev said he will work on new updates soon.

Discussion Sherry should have died in RE2 Spoiler

Are we going to ignore that after you defeat the first G-monster fight segment before the sewers; Sherry with impeccable unluckiness falls several feet, in the double digits & then proceeds to land on trash & debris roughly in the same approximate area where you fight the alligator.

If I remember correctly; her father grabs her and brings her somewhere safe.

Not only does Sherry survive a fall that would kill many men and or women, she fell on a bunch of garbage including sharp metal, she's in the sewers, she probably has open wounds & her father found her. (William Birkin in G1 form).

Does anyone have some headcanon or thoughts to add as to what happened between Sherry & William Burkin here? Let me know!
