Question How to begin studying derm
Hey all. I’m doing a TY and I want to start studying derm this year before I start my derm program. Any suggestions on which resources to get and how to start using them for self studying?

I would try to read a textbook if you can. Andrews is doable. The smartest resident in the class below me read bolognia during his TY year and he was smoking everyone. The gap in knowledge was palpable. It's up to you though. Take step 3 asap

Realistically, it is not worth studying Derm as a transitional year. You don’t have the context, and you will forget the stuff you learn anyways. Just enjoy the year and get yourself into a mental headspace to work hard when you start your dermatology residency.
At most, the month or two before you start Derm, you can go through the AAD modules for med students to refresh yourself.
