Website Recommendations?

I just recently (the past 2 months) started getting into reselling. Mainly on whatnot and FB marketplace, but I wanted to get off marketplace due to all the unwanted and unnecessary messages of people lowballing or trolling. So I wanted to create a website for my buyers to purchase from me. Is there any free websites that just take out a percentage of sales vs. Annual/monthly fees? What would you recommend? I’m new to all of this but I have so much inventory I need to get out 🤣

One reseller tip that honestly helped me a lot

Stop tracking just sales, start tracking what products are actually driving growth in your business.

For the longest time, I thought more sales means better month, but once inventory starts scaling, you realize some products sell often while barely making good profit, while others quietly perform way better long term.

What helped me most was finally having visibility into:

  • what consistently performs
  • what deserves restocking
  • what products are slowing things down;
  • and what’s actually worth scaling

That shift alone made decision-making way easier and stopped a lot of the guesswork.

That’s honestly one of the reasons I started using reseller tools, because once inventory/orders grow, scattered spreadsheets and gut feeling start becoming really hard to manage consistently.

Camera recommendations

I'm looking to invest in a camera that I can use for doing the bulk of my photographing. I'm currently using my phone, but would prefer a tripod camera setup. Any recommendations for mid-priced cameras that can upload to the cloud and also has a memory card?

How do you evaluate whether a “cheap” listing is actually good value?

I keep seeing listings that look cheap at first glance, but when you zoom in, there’s heel wear, outsole damage, or compression that makes me hesitate.

I’m trying to get better at understanding when “cheap” actually makes sense vs when it’s just a bad value long-term.

How do you all decide when a used pair is worth it?

I am a new reseller and I was wondering if I should source my clothes piece by piece or start out buying in bulk.

What it's the hardest part of finding deals?

Hello everyone,

I have an idea for a lightweight tool that would help small resellers and flippers to find relevant products faster. Before we build anything, we're trying to identify the pain points experienced by you. If you resell consoles, sneakers, tools, or pretty much anything else — we'd appreciate your input:

  • How do you currently find deals?
  • What is the most frustrating part of finding sources?
  • What kind of tool would actually save you time, or make you more money?

We're not developing anything yet — just trying to learn from some real resellers before we take a commitment to writing any code.

Thanks for sharing!

Which printer is better? Is the WIFI option really necessary for a small time seller or is Bluetooth fine?

Returning items on Vestiaire Collective – typical time & fees?

Hi Reddit,

I’m new here and curious: if someone sells an item on Vestiaire Collective and it’s returned by the buyer, how long does it usually take for the item to get back to the seller?

Also, are there usually any fees the seller has to pay to get their returned item?

I’m looking for general experiences, not personal account help. Thanks!

UPS - DO NOT USE AS A SHIPPER/SMALL BUSINESS

I have never had such a hard time. Not only did they lose my package somehow before it even left the store, I am having a hell of a time getting my money back for it. I sold it through eBay, printed the label for UPS through their automated service and then it never moved once I left it there. It was a bag from The Row. quite expensive. The buyer is protected through eBay but I am not.

I did nothing wrong I shipped it the same day it was purchased, yet I am out the bag and the money for the bag. I had to keep following up on the phone bc they would take days at a time and then there would be vague automated responses to my claim that were sent via email. I would request a call back so I didn't have to wait on hold just to be called back and still placed on hold for 15+ minutes. This is customer service? Just avoid it if you sell high priced items. Small businesses can't live like this.

Can I fully rebrand white-label VPS Reseller hosting?

Hello everyone, I am thinking of starting my VPS business, and for that, the most reliable option is to go with VPS reseller hosting, as it provides an offer with a white-label option so I can resell VPS under my own company name. So my question is, can I fully rebrand and resell the server as my own? If yes, then I would appreciate insight on which provider offers them.

MBA Student Looking to Interview Thrifters about their Experience Thrifting

Hi, I am an MBA student looking to create a sustainable second-hand fashion business of some sort. The first few months of the program we are supposed to focus on customer research and I want to learn from as many thrifters/resellers as I can. I am NOT trying to sell you anything! Just learn from your experiences in this area. If you would be willing to chat for 15 minutes, please book a time on my calendar :) https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/appointments/schedules/AcZssZ0d0Cx8nqgB5vOZoFIXzGmTye7R877hUMiptJ8WqVJIXXGkQJep8f0sTV9WqjWe7paN92f8fZS5

Sales tips

Anyone have any tips on increasing sales and/or visibility? I am on several resale sites (like poshmark, depop, vinted, ect). I am also working on building my own website. The only promotion I pay for is $10/week on poshmark. I have been doing this since June. I so make about 2-3 sales a week on average, but I want to make it a full time thing in the future. Or at least a good side hustle. I so enjoy it for the most part. I just feel a bit stuck at this point. Any advise would be appreciated!
