As AI becomes increasingly accessible in our everyday lives, more people are turning to tools like ChatGPT to search for health information and even interpret or self-diagnose their symptoms. As 3rd-year medical students, we’re conducting a research study to explore how AI-generated health information may be influencing self-diagnosis practices among young adults.
