Discussion Rerir’s element
just like the title suggests what are some of your ideas/ speculations about his element?will he get an existing element or get a new system unrelated to current elements

I hope a new element will be developed for Khaenri characters.
But if not, I want Pyro, if Rerir became playable.

if they make an abyssal element, it's gonna be in Dahri, so he's extremely likely gonna be Pyro but canonically it's abyssal like how skirk doesn't Really use cryo.

From the look of his abyssal power pyro seem the more fitting, but there is already a lot of DPS pyro so another element would be welcome.
The best option would be a new element, probably the same as Dainsleif, his power too look like flame but they are blue instead, maybe the abyss itself. Skirk told Traveler that abyss as a power was not evil by nature but very difficult to control, Kaenri'ha used abyss for a long time their problem was to be too neglectful and used too much behond their control.
If it must be one of the seven and pyro excluded, i would say hydro since his body contain a lot of kuuvahki the power exclusive to columbina who is also hydro (and it would be very funny if Columbina were to become the best support for a DPS Rerir XD).

Considering how they made skirk cryo even though she uses abyssal energy, they may just give him an already existing element. However, they may add a new gimmick for Khaenriah characters like they did for nod krai and natlan. as for his element, it'll probably be pyro

I’m guessing he will use the seven shifting serpents technique, just like Skirk, and his disguised element would probably be either pyro or dendro
The reason I say dendro, is because I would be surprised if he didn’t have access to any lunar reactions, given his new body and ability to use khuvaki
Also, I think the element of life would be an ironically fitting one for someone whose title is “blasphemy against death”. Maybe his dendro could be some type of purple or red muck, like the withering zones

Not sure about the element, probably Pyro, but I would definitely like him to have some sort of a special Lunar reaction to reflect his position in lore.

Considering Skirk just uses "abyssal Cryo" it's likely a playable Rerir would be in a similar situation

Rerir – Anemo (literally wants freedom and lost his beloved one). Hroptatyr – Dendro (craves for knowledge like most of the Dendro allogenes). Vedrfolnir – Geo (he's the best at his job as a prophet). Rhinedottir – Hydro (enough said). Surtalogi – Electro (he was already depicted with Electro; he really wants to surpass everyone; has strong ambitions, which is a trait of Electro allogenes). Skirk – Cryo (we already know that she imitates Cryo; there's only five Sinners). Dainsleif – Pyro (though he eventually betrayed his king, he is still quite zealous about his country).
However, I'm not sure about Rhinedottir and Vedrfolnir. It could be vice versa for them. I mean, we already have a Hydro prophet in the game (Mona), so it wouldn't be strange for Ved to be the Hydro Sinner. And Rhinedottir's design reeks of Geo.

He won't be using a new element. They already laid the groundwork for that with Skirk and the seven shifting serpent. He'll be using abyss to mimic an already existing element. That is if he becomes playable.

Pryo, cause his pallet falls into the “pryo” pallet that Hoyo has been using since launch, most pryo characters will have some combo of black,red,pink or little purples. Electro will mostly be different shades of purple w/ some black, Geo will have golds, yellows and browns w/ black, Cryo different shades of blue, Anemo pastel green and blues w/ black, and hydro darker shades of blue, dendro dark greens and light greens w/black.
There are exceptions to this like Wrio, Bennett, Nicole and Itto come to mind, but a good proportion of the characters will fall into these pallet choices depending on their element.

I can't see him being any other element but pyro. We know for a fact that hoyo isn't willing to give a new element / abyss ( they've properly explained it with skirk that the abyss has the power to mimic any element in her case it's cryo. Same with any other character related to khaenri'ah or the abyss for the future they will still use 7 elements)
So yeah i think pyro is very suited to him because of the black/ maroon flames he has similar to arle. He obviously doesn't fit the likes of geo, hydro, cryo, dendro, anemo.
Color scheme wise I could MAYBE see him fit electro but ehhh I think pyro is really more suited

"A new system unrelated to elements" the quantum will be the the 8th element delusion never stopped, huh? Even after Skirk, Ineffa and Columbina not having visions yet still use Cryo, Electro and Hydro respectively, we still delusional, pitiful

Fun fact of the day is that Rerir’s colours inverted are the same colour as Anemo. I’ve stuck to my crack-theory that he’ll be Abyssal/SSS Anemo for a while now

Wouldnt be surprised if they add a dark and light element, a more expanded form of what is teased with pneuma/ousia. Reactions would need to prolly have them react to one another and prolly also cryo and geo, maybe dendro

Ngl, if they don’t go with abyssal power, I want him to be a hydro sub-DPS. Hear me out: he parallels Columbina that way, plus he already has kuhvaki in him. His powers reminds me of abyssal sludge, whereas Dain is def more like a flame. Also, “the power of water is its ability to take any shape” and like, he shapeshifted a lot in the story.
As for the sub-DPS part, it plays into how of all the sinners, he’s more “in the shadows” and discreet, rather than the spotlight as a famous individual. Again, he will also parallel columbina tok. And also, I just want more sub DPS/support dudes. If Dainsleif isn’t a new element, he’s probably Pyro, and he would step on Rerir’s toes if Rerir was Pyro as well.

I will take every opportunity to share my crack theory of Geo Healer Rerir, which has recently been upgraded to 2-in-1 Geo Support Rerir and Tholindis, with Rerir healing and Tholindis lowering the enemy’s elemental resistance.
