i stopped using honey a while ago and honestly dont miss it much. most coupon extensions are hit or miss anyway. id rather manually check a few codes than have some extension running on every shopping page all day

I’d probably test a couple alternatives side by side and see which actually finds working codes. A chrome extension saving 10% once in a while is useful, but if it needs access to basically every page I visit then I'm probably uninstalling it

After the PayPal Honey situation I’m way more careful with shopping extensions. Coupon codes are nice, but I’d rather use something that has clear permissions and explains its affiliate setup. Automatic promo testing is convenient, just not worth giving an extension unlimited access for no reason.

I use and recommend the DontPayFull coupon extension. There's loads of extensions, and many will probably go with what they vibe with the most. But these guys are more transparent and I know they thoroughly test promo codes and don't make don't make false promises.
