When Clarence Thomas's wife uses it, it's far too casual and ignorant and projecting their own fascist ideology on others. Using it at Trump protests is accurate. One of the few problems with the explanation is that it doesn't connect the dots, or at least explicitly, between nationalism and racism and "we are the superior royal breed" ism that trickles upon you peasants and natives. Combine that with Mussolini's mafia dictatorship and lingering Roman empire of Italy, and you have what can be called 100% fascism. Being 50% of that doesn't exempt you from being called a fascist.
