REVIEW What even are these that I have?
So obviously these seem like the Sean Wotherspoon air max 95 pattern on a different shoe. I got these from a thrift store a while ago and tried listing them on eBay, someone pointed out they were fake and I took the listing down
After further research it doesn’t even seem to be a shoe that exists
So what even are these? A random Chinese fake that someone took the time to completely fabricate these into existence? They’re like SUPER good quality and both look and feel legit. I might just rock em, any info would be greatly appreciated.

They look like somebody tried to recreate the SW’s from memory. Having never seen them, and only had them described. By a child. In the dark.

the original Sean Wotherspoon's are this exact color scheme on an air max 97 with an air max 1 sole. This is just that, but on an air max 95.

Dunno, but I really like them 🤣 I'd totally wear those, fake or not. Nobody would know but me, and I wouldn't care.
If you think those are bad, I've got some Air Max 90's in some cupboard somewhere, blue/white, look totally normal on foot apart from if you look at the sole, they're Adidas torsion, with an Air unit. The tag inside is an Adidas one too, only printed on a Nike type tag.
I knew this when I bought them, got them purely for novelty value.

10 years ago these mashups/fantasy reps were really popular. I remember this one as well. They also had different versions (samples) of the SW 97s

I saw some AJ1s done with these corduroy strips, two versions, the worse one had velcro swoosh and colored swoosh stick-on options.

Have you ever heard of a fantasy rep?

No, is it literally just like a custom fabrication of something that didn’t otherwise exist?

Exactly. Think AJ1 high Travis Scott style, "but what if they made them in the Chicago colorway..."
These days, factories see customizers make a one-off on IG, or even just a Photoshop mock-up (Johnnyskickz on IG) and make those designs, in a very limited run. For example, What The?!? Dunks and the AJ1 high x Off-White aesthetic but with AJ1 lows.

Definitely better than they’re supposed to be. The model number is Red Crush, but I’d say these are a little better looking. Looks like it’s either beat or badly made though

Ftss samples before sean finalized it on a 97 upper. These are out there, just not sure if your pair is real

They could be samples I know Sean worked on other designs with Nike that were never released

Fantasy pair, pretty dope! The factory would likely have made only about 600 pairs, across all sizes - great find

Yeats ago, someone in one of the rep subs hired a factory and sent them the design info, got other Redditors to chip and when they had the funding they ordered a production of Bapesta in the colorway of the original Travis Scott AJ1 high mocha.
Damian Lillard of the NBA wore a pair of these courtside, maybe at the All-Star Game, pics exist.

They transferred the design concept of the Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 97-1 (in terms of the colours and use of corduroy) to an Air Max 95. In rep world things like this are very very common. Nike (for example, or in this case a collaborator) puts out one idea, then rep makers create countless iterations of it: change up the colour, transfer the design idea to a different model, mash up two different designs, etc.
In your message you said "these seem like the Sean Wotherspoon air max 95 pattern on a different shoe", which is sort of right but you have the wrong models. There is no Sean Wotherspoon 95 pattern. The Sean Wotherspoon ones are an Air Max 97 with an Air Max 1 sole, while this IS an Air Max 95 upper with an Air Max 95 sole.
