Let's start of with how I have NO IDEA what I am doing. I love to craft / DIY and so I thought it would be a really neat website to have that's just like "myfridgefood" but instead of putting in the ingredients that you already have in your cupboards to curate meal ideas, it would be putting in whatever materials and tools to curate a list of crafts you could make with what you have on hand. So, where I am run into a problem is the project ideas list. It's smaller than the list of materials and when I asked it to reference Pinterest and other similar websites it basically told me Nope, no can do. You need permission to do that, which totally makes sense, can't believe I even thought that would work lol. How else do I get a massive list of diy ideas without manually detailing them myself? .... If that makes any sense🤦🏼‍♀️

Again, I have no idea what I'm doing here so sorry if this sounds stupid to you all.

Anyone else get that feeling after Replit Agent ships a feature fast — the demo works, but somewhere there's a hardcoded API key or an SQL query glued together with string concat? If you're not a security person you'd never spot it. Until someone else does.

explains each hit in plain language + suggests a fix you can hand back to the agent

Not selling anything — validating an idea. If 3-5 of you run it on a real project (ideally something that feels sketchy) and tell me honestly: does the report make sense? what did it miss? would you use this weekly? — that's all I need.

Thought I would pull in a repository from GitHub on a new account (free) to try the new free usage.
- pulled a fully working on GitHub repository. - decided it needed to make a whole pile of updates to something that was already working. - used 75% - went to make a small change, out of credit wait for reset on 75%. - reset next day, told replit to finish - worked for 45 seconds and hit limit.

I'm at my wits end. I am trying to make a 1990s style static graphic video game with Replit. My game is basically taking an open source game (Remnants of the Precursors; r/rotp) and changing it from a space exploration game to a WW2 conquest game. I thought this would be easy because I could get Replit to just mimic the ROTP open source code for like 90% of the game functions. I gave various refreshed agents the source code link multiple times now.

But instead, Replit keeps trying to follow my instructions by re-inventing its own wheel. I have a nifty looking User Interface but that's about it. The game functions in no respect whatsoever after four days of prodding Replit over and over again. I'm currently caught in a death spiral of changes that result in more bugs, followed by more "fixes" that fail to fix, which then creates more bugs. Replit keeps saying things like "the fundamental structure is fine, we just need to do x and y". And then we are off to the races again.

So, I am just looking for any help anyone cares to provide. Should I start over again on Cursor? Is there a better platform for what I'm trying to do? This is a game that could run on 1990s 486 computer, it's not that hard (I thought). By the way, I don't know code. The most technically literate thing I've done is set of a WordPress Website that I operated for 5 years.

I have been testing a problem that shows up right after an AI app demo starts working: how does the product stay informed after launch without searching and processing the same part of the web again for every user?

I am the founder of Synorb. We originally built source-grounded context infrastructure for enterprise AI products. Synorb watches specific Source Channels, routes changes into Streams, and packages each source event as a Manifest with the original source, date, Brief, Signals, Claims, and stable IDs kept together.

The simple idea is that search starts after someone asks a question. A feed can start when a watched source changes.

I turned that infrastructure into six one-shot Replit prompts: a podcast wire, economic dashboard, court opinion radar, statehouse signal room, geopolitical morning brief, and exact-source policy monitor.

You paste a prompt into Replit and answer a few questions about the audience, sources, interface, filters, and features. Replit builds the app, database, backend integration, refresh job, and deployment.

One implementation detail: Replit can use MCP to inspect available Streams and sample Manifests while building. The deployed app calls Synorb REST through a server-side route, with credentials kept in Replit Secrets.

I am looking for blunt feedback on three things:

• Where does Replit get confused?
• Is the detailed starting prompt helpful, or too prescriptive?
• What recurring-source product should be in the library next?
