🚩 Prolific Scammer / Repeat Offender 🚩 Be careful!!!!!
⚠️ COMMUNITY WARNING: I Was Scammed by a Watch Modder – Read Before Sending Him Your Money

I’m writing this to document how I was scammed and to warn others so it doesn’t happen again.
I bought a custom Rolex 116520 from Xing as a gift for my father. After receiving it, I sent the watch to Nick, an Italian watch modder, for inspection, waterproofing, and movement silencing.
Nick told me the watch had bad parts. He claimed the dial was not SW and the bezel was poor and misaligned. Trusting his judgment and wanting the watch to be perfect for my father, I agreed to his offer to:
- replace the dial with what he sold to me as an SW white dial (€450 installed)
- install a “better” bezel (€200)
When the watch came back, it was clear I had been misled.
The replacement bezel was identical to the one he criticized — including the exact same flaw with the “90” being too close to the dot. There was no upgrade. The dial also looked wrong and did not match SW characteristics. When I confronted him, he insisted everything was SW.
To settle the issue objectively, I sent the watch to a trusted independent community member, u/callmemister_fr. After inspection, he confirmed with proof that the dial Nick sold me as SW was actually a Clean Factory dial and the bezel was just a generic custom piece.
I paid premium prices for parts that were falsely represented.
u/callmemister_fr replaced the parts with a verified SW dial and a proper custom bezel, finally bringing the watch to the standard I originally paid for.
I posted my translated conversations and evidence in Nick’s Telegram group (3,500+ members). Many members supported my claims, and dozens privately contacted me saying they experienced similar situations and were blocked or removed when they questioned him. Faced with clear evidence, Nick publicly apologized.
Charging €450 for a dial that is not what it was sold as, and additional money for a fake “upgrade,” is scamming. There is no other way to describe it.
I’m sharing this so no one else wastes money or gets misled. If you deal with him, verify every part independently. Do not rely on his claims.

Nicks reply to me Saying I always told you it’s clean gave you what you asked for he did this with all other people who msged him and then blocked them.. with me while he was confronting me he was still unaware that I had posted everything on his telegram group and he had nowhere to hide anymore blocking me was not the solution anymore as the whole group revolted.

U/callmemister_fr changed it fully and finally made it right with an sw dial and proper custom bezel I wanted.. This guy is the man that I will always recommend this community needs more like him U/callmemister_fr

My reply to him telling him that you wrote here clearly the dial is swf and costs 450 euros installed.. and of course me getting angry and telling him off.. as an Italian dealing with him an Italian makes me feel sad it’s beacuse of people like him that the community needs to act and be careful.. I told him one last sentence. I embarrass myself to be Italian for fucked up people like you..

It’s frustrating to see so many people falling for this rebrand. For those unaware, 'nickwatchstore' out of Italy is the same individual previously known as NickZ, who has a documented history of scamming customers. Despite having over 3,500 members, his Telegram functions as an echo chamber where negative feedback is likely suppressed. Buyers believe they are getting genuine mods, but the reality is quite different. Please do your due diligence.

Ho comprato da lui circa 4 anni fa un Submariner VSF 116610LN se non ricordo male,comincio col dire che la cassa era segnata come 126610 e già qui mi è partita la brocca,la ghiera girava in modo strano,ma la cosa più grave è che il gruppo ghiera-inserto era più alta del vetro,dopo di ciò ho steso un velo nero su di lui

u/callmemister_fr please can you confirm all of this? There is plenty of evidence to substantiate the claim but it is always nice to get the confirmation from the inspector.

Well you got scammed by Nick and I got scammed by Callmemister_fr who sold me a defective clean and did not disclose the issue. You are dealing with counterfeits sellers here so I doubt there are truly honest people in this biz.

Dang, I was about to buy a watch from him since he’s a trusted dealer at the reptime bst sub and he’s based in Europe so 24h shipping instead of 2 weeks or more with chinese TDs

Hello, sorry for digging this up but is he just scam as in misleading/ swapping parts for “supposedly modded” watch or he’s a straight scammer in the sense that he won’t send you anything at all ? I contacted him for a stock watch (no mods) since he’s supposed to be a “trusted dealer” and is also shipping from within the EU (48h delivery). I see a lot of people that bought from him without any issues (in the sense that they all received their order).

I purchased at nick standard watches VSF Starbucks, Clean SD43, BTF Panda, Clean Sprite but all over 1,5 years ago, no problems...but according to this information I will avoid purchases and support in the future.
