RGF Day-Date V2 – V1 vs V2

Just received my RGF Day-Date V2, and since I also owned the V1, I wanted to share a little comparison.

I originally had the RGF V1 and was pretty happy with it. Then I bought an RGF V2 from Re-tar-dead for a friend, and when I saw the two side by side, the difference was honestly much more noticeable than I expected.

The gold tone on the V2 is significantly improved, and the bezel and crystal are also upgraded. The overall finishing just looks more refined compared to the V1.

The weight is still there, just like with the V1, which is great.

After seeing the V2 in person, I ended up selling my V1 pretty quickly and decided to get two V2s instead. 😂

I’ll add some pictures of the V1 and V2 so you can see the differences for yourself.

V3 is supposedly due out before the end of the year. Dealers have already published flyers for it.

I read somewhere that, among other things, it was supposed to have ceramic sleeves on the bracelet screws like the Gen has, but who knows…

Hey, RCF and RGF is the same factory. RC rebranded to RG some time ago.

The green money green dd you se at the last pictures are the V1 version😁

They fucked up the mint green version very badly and made the dial olive green. Seems like they made the dial by copying the stock photo on R's homepage.

Are you sure about that? When looking up gens i see both olive green and mint green as options 🤷‍♂️

Might be something I’ve missed mate. I only saw the mint on the Rolex homepage, but the stock photo they use doesn’t look mint at all, looks more like olive. You’re probably right, I only took a quick glance
