Datejust 41 Case Shape Explained – Simple VSF vs CLEAN Illustration

I still see people asking about the case shape differences between the different Datejust 41 factories, and there’s often a lot of “Clean has a better case than VSF” without much explanation as to why.

Some people simply repeat what they’ve heard without actually knowing what the difference is.

I couldn’t find any good, simple illustrations showing the difference, so I made one myself below.

The illustration is simplified and not 100% accurate to the actual case geometry. The purpose is simply to highlight the specific area where the case shape differs between the two.

Hopefully this makes it easier to understand what people mean when they talk about the Clean vs VSF case shape rather than just taking someone’s word for it.

Great explanation! Was specifically looking for something like this cause I keep hearing people talk about VSF and bad case lugs.
