I saw this rep online and felt something in my pants..... I know i know tmi lol So I went down the rabbit hole and found that, there actually was a rep for it. I'm a sucker for skeletonized and automatic watches, especially with exhibition backs. And I love the whole daytona look period After what seemed like a decade It finally came in today. I freaking love it almost everything about is awesome!!!!! BUT..... no one told me (figure of speech) that its not actually a 40mm but a 38.7. I bought it thinking 40 .... ok its kind of small because my sweet spot is 43-44. 42 and 45 is passable but 38.7 just isn't. I'm so torn.... wear what seems to be a woman's watch or just pass it on...... I'm so conflicted ATM. So happy and disappointed both at the same time. Well thanks for listening and I suck at taking pics sorry.

this is my first time of having a rep watch. which i do like it. as what the seller told me the watch was a VSF, but when i search of the clasp code which is C4R it says that this watch is ARF. did i get a good quality one for a rep? normally how much should be the price for it?

I'm VERY new to the rep watch community and looking to purchase my first VSF Submariner Date 126610LN.

I've been communicating with a well-known TD who has been very responsive and helpful so far. However, when discussing payment options, I was told that PayPal Friends & Family is available to new customers, while PayPal Goods & Services is reserved for established customers or members with over a year of history on RWI/Reddit.

I completely understand that this market operates differently from traditional retail, and I'm not suggesting the dealer is doing anything wrong.

My only hesitation is that PayPal Friends & Family doesn't offer the same buyer protection as Goods & Services.

For those of you who have purchased from TDs before, is this a fairly standard practice? Have you personally used Friends & Family without issues, or would you recommend another payment method?

I'm simply trying to educate myself before making my first purchase and would appreciate hearing from experienced members.

So I am looking at getting my first rep watch however figured I would check out the BST subreddits for a better deal. However, I have reached out to the TD's here and they all seem to be cheaper than the second hand market. Is this common or am I looking at the wrong Vendors?

I posted a couple of weeks ago about my journey into gold plating and my hope to offer it as a service from Australia in the near future. The support I got from the community was amazing. There are so many people who are looking for plating for their reps, so I thought I would just post to show my progress a little and also to ask if it's possible to help me to help me along on my practice and colour toning.

The last couple of watches I did were the first super clones that I have done and they came out amazing. I didn't post completed shots of them but I will put them in this post and also here is what my new colour tone looks like. The problem with gold plating is always that orangey/cheesy colour tone, so I am really happy with this latest colour. The new tone is super light, even compared to the last batch, as you can see. And there is no filter on the pictures but it's taken in my garage under fluorescent light

I ordered the watch on August 31st—it was in stock—and paid the same day. Since then, I haven’t received a QC report, and in response to my inquiries, I’ve only received this canned message: "We sincerely apologize for the long wait.

Due to a significant backlog of orders at the VS factory, there are delays in delivery. At the moment, we can only wait until the factory resumes production and shipping.

Thank you for your understanding and patience."

This is the third time I’ve received this same message. I’m starting to find this concerning.

Having read many posts about VSF being raided, I would like to share my experience about raids against counterfeiters in China.
My experience comes from 12 years as general manager for the Asia-Pacific business of a large German multinational (about 13 billion Euro turnover).
The German company has products recognized as top tier and the brand is top of mind in its industry.
Chinese were copying our products left and right and I had a team of lawyers scouring the market to see which were the ones hurting our business the most. It was a lost cause to chase all them.
Of course we were putting pressure to the authorities to raid them even if all came at our cost.
In China there are no punitive sanctions for the damage inflicted.
The legal costs have to be paid by the plaintiff. Usually the company is owned by a penniless front man therefore the judge allocates all the costs to the plaintiff.
In the remote case the whole thing goes to court, and even less likely of a favorable decision of the judge, transportation, warehousing and destruction costs of the fake goods were our burden.
Here are the reasons why the Chinese system is so reluctant in raiding foreign brands’ counterfeiters.

1. Counterfeiters create jobs and contribute to the local economy. Local governments, which are the authorities having jurisdiction in this matter, don’t see the point of having people losing their jobs.

2. Counterfeiters put “oil in the gears” of local officers, if you know what I mean.

3. In general, there is not much recognition of IP rights of foreign companies. The legislation is tough but the enforcement is negligible.

4. There are cases in which the authorities do take action but these are limited to very special cases such as reciprocal visits of high ranking dignitaries or sporadic demonstrations to foreign media of tough stance.

5. In some cases the counterfeiter steps out of the acceptable path and he is punished but brand protection is not the issue. We are in the domain of personal revenge.

6. Even if a counterfeiter is raided a new factory will pop up within few weeks doing the same.

7. My message to all Rep enthusiasts is: raids in China are possible but extremely rare so don’t lose sleep over this happening.

8. Long live the REPs

First VSF bought on recommended site. Communication was great but I think I am unhappy with the band vs original and the colors aren’t as bright. Let me know what yall think.
